Phalombe VSL agents on the move, fully equipped to support and strengthen women-led savings and loans groups through the Titkule Azimai project in Malawi.

4-year project we are excited to see the efforts being made in Malawi to address Sexual Gender Based Violence. 330 women-led Village Saving and Loan (VSL) groups have been established and formalized in the districts of Mulanje, Machinga and Phalombe. These groups, which warmly welcome survivors of SGBV, have received financial literacy and business skills training and will gain access to capital. Scott and Lorilee are Canadian missionaries who have been connected to the EI Malawi team since 1997, they have recently shared an update on their activities in Malawi.
