It’d been rough finding somewhere to stay so suddenly but she’d managed to travel between couches. Eira had gotten a new job out of it too since luckily her friend’s work was in desperate need of extra hands. The dog cafe was still relatively new and still making its way into popularity, plus all the dogs they’d accumulated in hopes of future profit had become overwhelming for their small staff. It wasn’t really enough to get her own place but she was still looking at what she could double up with. Her applications to the flower shop, grocery store, and one of the local restaurants were still being processed so mostly it was waiting or continuing her search.
She was going out to lunch since it was her one day she let herself eat out for the week when someone caught her attention. Turning, eyebrows furrowed as she tried to think of who might be stopping her, her eyes set themselves on the sight of Tancred. They widened out of sheer shock, not only that she’d come upon him but that he’d even come up to her after what happened.
Eira was at a loss for words as she listened to him ask her these questions and something about a dog. His last question made her frown though. “Well I think that’s what happens when you break up with someone. Was I supposed to call you up to hang out?” She asked, crossing her arms over her chest. “What would you want to talk to me for anyway?” After all, she’d been rather awful to him last they spoke.
"It's been months, Eira. Since we broke up. We are still friends. Or did you just think we weren't anymore?" Tancred asked. Sighing then, he rolled his eyes and looked away "I swear, you watch way too many cheesy dramas. You really believe that just because you broke us up that we can't be friends anymore? That's--" It sounded really inane. What person would literally do that. Sure, if they hadn't known one another. Hell, if she had broken up with him by stabbing him or otherwise attempting to rid herself of him in some vile way. Maybe he would be in the right to let her go.
But she was obviously just breaking up with him to push him away and Tancred was not that dumb, he had not played into her little game. He was going to be damned if he ever did. So he waited a few months. Gave her her space. It was only by chance that he would see her on the street. This very street, in fact. He turned his attention back to her then "Silly. So silly. I don't think you understand how this works. We still have to see each other, you know. I'm friends with Jace, and Oliver. Two people you know." Tancred pointed out before looking her over as she was standing with her arms crossed.
"In case you didn't realize Eira, this isn't a phone call. This is real life. I'm standing right here. You aren't the popular girl in school. You can't just pretend I don't exist, when I'm literally standing in front of you. Don't you think that's a bit silly? We have history." At her question though he gave a shrug "Anything, I guess. What have you been doing? You find a place, or you sleeping at friends' places?" He asked, it was probably none of his business, but he was curious. After all, she had broken up with him, for attention from him. He hadn't broken up with her, he was just living with it. So now she had his attention, and she didn't want it? It was very confusing “Are you sure you’re alright Eira?”
