The rain was slowly stopping as Eitan and Kynlee laid on the couch listening to it. Eitan was more worried about his brother but was happy that he texted him back saying that he got his girl back. Eitan was ecstatic to hear that.

“Babe, guess what?” Eitan asked.

Kynlee was half awake, half asleep when she answered him. “Hmmm?”

“Milo and Leanne are back together.”

The news woke up Kynlee. “I’m so happy for them. They really do deserve each other.”

“Yea I know.” Eitan nodded.

Kynlee looked in Eitan’s eyes. “How are you holding up?”

“I’m actually doing well. If you weren’t here, I would probably be a mess, so thank you for being here for me.”

Kynlee kissed him. “I’ll always be there for you. I’m not going anywhere.”

As they kissed, Eitan could tell that his mom was happy with the life that himself and Milo chosen. In the short moment of time his mother knew Kynlee, she loved her. He knew deep down that everything was going to be alright.

After the long drive back by himself, Eitan was finally home. He walked in the house and yelled. “I’m home Kynlee!”

Kynlee yelled back. “Okay. I’m in the bathroom.”

Eitan sat on the couch in the living room and sighed. He couldn’t believe how quiet the house was since Milo was gone away for college. He was used to coming home and hearing Milo playing J.Cole or Kendrick Lamar blasting as loud as Milo could blast it on his speakers so the quietness in the house was so weird to Eitan. As he was in thoughts, Kynlee came into the living wearing a sports bra and underwear. Eitan couldn’t do anything but smile. “Look at you.”

Kynlee sat down on the couch next to Eitan. “You don’t like it?”

“I love it.” He said as he put is hand on her thigh.

“If you want to start something, I’ll meet you in the bedroom.”

“Why not here?” Eitan asked Kynlee which made her speechless. “Exactly.” He said right before he kissed here.

After arriving at San Myshuno University, Eitan and Milo unpacked Milo’s bags and boxes from Eitan’s car and into Eitan’s dorm room. After unpacking Milo’s things, they both started to walk around the campus. Eitan had to admit, this college was better than the college he went to and he know that Milo is going to love it here. The gym and library is huge, they have the best technology and even a great place for the college students to just hang out.

“You like it?” Eitan asked as they walked back to Eitan’s car.

Milo smiled. “I love it. It’s all somewhat surreal for me.”

“So you think you made the right choice?”

“I know I did. Get to follow my dreams and play basketball.”

“I’m proud of you bro.”

“Thanks. I’m more proud of you though. Just trying to be like you.”

Eitan looked at his phone. “I should be hitting the road. I got a long drive back to the house.” Milo hugged Eitan. “I’m here if you need me. Just know that everyone is proud of you. Even dad in heaven is proud of you.”

“Thanks. I better see you here at one of my games.”

“I wouldn’t miss it for anything in world.” Eitan got his car and honked at Milo as Milo waved goodbye.

It’s been a couple of weeks since the break up between Milo and Leanne. The first couple of days after the break up, he stayed in his room crying. Asking himself “did he pick the right choice?” The weeks after that, he kept himself busy by playing basketball, going out with some friends, or finishing up packing for college. Those weeks made him slowly forget about Leanne. He stilled love her but he was happy about the decision he made and knew it was the best decision he made in his life. Now today was the day that Milo started his future away at college. He was so excited to turned the page and start a new page at San Myshuno University.

“It sucks that you can’t ride with us to the college. You know more about the college than both of us.” Milo said to Kynlee as he put his last bag in Eitan’s truck.

Kynlee giggled. “I know but I have an emergency to handle at the animal clinic. It would be great for you and Eitan to look around and see how amazing San Myshuno University compared to Oasis Springs University.”

Eitan rolled his eyes. He could tell that Kynlee was teasing him. “I mean Oasis Springs University is a pretty cool college.”

“Stop lying to yourself.” Milo joked which made Kynlee laughed.

“Whatever. Say goodbye to Kynlee.”

Milo and Kynlee laughed before they hugged each other. “Stay safe okay? If you need anything, I’m here.”

“Thanks.”

“Can you guys hurry up?” Eitan joked which made everyone laughed.

“Geesh, I was just trying to say bye to my sister-in-law.”

The comment made Eitan and Kynlee both blush. “Well you guys drive safe. Call me when you get there. Love you guys.”

Eitan and Milo both got in the car. “I’ll call you. We love you too.” Eitan said before he started his car and drove away.

Brian took Eitan on a tour of the condo. Eitan couldn’t believe how amazing it was. Very modern but also classic. He realize that Kynlee grew up very well. She could’ve turned out to be a spoiled brat with everything she has but didn’t. She was a very hardworking woman and people would’ve thought that she had a very hard upbringing.

After the tour, Brian and Eitan were outside enjoying the fall breeze. “How you’re holding up son? Kynlee told me about your mother passing away.”

Eitan sighed. “I’m actually doing well. I know she’s in a better place. I think if Kynlee wasn’t by my side, I don’t think I would’ve been this strong.”

“Well that’s what relationships are all about. Leaning on each other when you’re feeling down.”

“Speaking on relationships, I have something to ask you. I already asked Mrs. Nam but I needed to ask you.”

“You want my permission for Kynlee’s hand in marriage?”

“How did you know?”

Brian laughed. “Serenity told me. She can’t hold water if her life depended on it.”

Over the phone, Eitan asked Serenity for Kynlee’s hand in marriage and she immediately said yes but Eitan told her not tell Brian but she couldn’t help herself. “Well?”

Brian smiled. “Yes. She’s very happy with you. I can tell you guys love each other with all your hearts. Just treat her right and we won’t have any problems.”

Eitan nodded. “Will do.”

Kynlee pokes her head out of the door. “Sorry to interrupt but dinner is ready and I’m starving.” Both Eitan and Brian laughed at Kynlee as the walked into the house to eat dinner.
