“keep or trash?” Hugo asked Hakim, holding up a shirt he hadn’t worn in a while
“kip” Hakim responded after a while
“it’s still cool isn’t it?” Hugo says eyeing the graphic tee
he tosses it into the keep pile intended to sort later, Hakim watching on, sitting on the floor.
Hugo had taken his day off to sort out his wardrobe and have some alone time with Hakim who was content sitting on the floor watching his papa while he played a playlist off his iPad. This not only gave them some time to bond but also gave you some rest.
Hugo pulled out a shirt “i’m a dad” scribbled across it, a smile etched on his face as he remembered unboxing it one fight in Germany, then scooping you up in his embrace when you showed him the positive pregnancy test in your hands
“i remember when mama told me she was pregnant with you” Hugo smiled looking at Hakim “i was so happy”
“happy” Hakim mirrors smiling “mama?”
Hugo lays down on his stomach, eye level with Hakim who now moves to crawl toward his fathers face
“you’re such a blessing” Hugo smiles softly as Hakim bumps into him before rocking back onto his bum “my Kimmy”
“Kimmy” Hakim smiles pointing to himself “papa”
“mon bebe” Hugo smiles kissing Hakim’s cheek who returns the action with an open mouth leaving spit on his fathers cheek who laughs
“i see you two are having fun” you smile leaning against the doorway
“mama” Hakim squeals holding his hands up
“no cooties” Hugo jokes putting Hakim’s hands down who protests with a whine and pushes off his father
“tired of papa’s boring clothes” you humor picking him up
“my clothes are not boring!” Hugo defends standing up
“ah you found the shirt” you say pointing at the shirt you’d given your fiancé
“the day our lives changed forever and for the better” Hugo smiles softly
“yup” you smile ticking Hakim who was trying to eat your necklace “i made lunch if you’re hungry”
