Was neither a good nor a bad man.
Many a quaint of virtues he ha that may be admired whilst his restless and brutal warfare cannot be forgotten.
Whether we can pardon him with regards to the necessity of a revolution and his experiences as a revolutionary is secondary.
It is arbitrary that his story is told.
I do not agree with him in all regards and I certainly do not approve all his deeds. But I still remember him about 50 years after his death.
