Exclusive: Secret apartheid-era papers give first official evidence of Israeli nuclear weapons
Some people say Africans don’t know who the enemy is.
A reminder that the state of Israel - and the United States government - didn’t just simply continue doing business with the racist, fascist apartheid regime in South Africa after most decent nations had severed ties, they also offered to sell them nuclear weapons.
I’ve never seen it so concisely defined.
oh… yeah

It’s simple, really.

In 1985 ABC News sent Ted Koppel to South Africa, where he met and interviewed Winnie Mandela in Johannesburg. REST IN POWER, QUEEN!
Had maximum respect for this valiant tower of strength, especially after hearing her talk at Northern Illinois University back in 1996.
RIP Winnie Mandela.
There is a gif set where Lupita Nyong’o and Dinai Gurira discuss how the West colonized the African continent to steal it’s natural resources, but I thought this twitter thread helped re-iterate that this is still happening today.
I enjoyed Black Panther sO much. I’m happy to see the movie is hugely successful ~and~ bringing so many timely, relevant issues to the forefront, and into the consciousness of new generations and older generations of people.
They better leave DRC alone, see what happened in Sierra Leone with the diamonds, see what happened in Nigeria with Crude Oil…every single African country where valuable resources are found SUFFERS. It’s like a curse.
What happened in Sierra Leone and Nigeria already happened in the Congo, decades ago. The narrative of the resource curse is a false narrative that distracts from what was the real colonial expedition in these countries. Sierra Leone and Nigeria are examples of countries that sold their souls and mortgaged their futures to Western governments and corporations. The colonial governments were set up for just that very purpose: to ensure that the supply line of raw materials and resources from the colonies to the western industrial powers continued unabated after they left. Any leader that arises that tries to interrupt or break that supply line is removed from power via assassination and/or military coup d’état (Lumumba in the Congo is a prime example).
Michael Jackson saved the NFL from a half time show ratings slump when he performed the entire show in 1993.
