expanding on my last post:LVC animal headcanons!!!!!
Sabata (Return of Sabata) - One of those fancy pigeons..looks like a dove but not actually one..deceiving....
Sabata (Sabata - yes i'm putting both here) - Mountain lion, book compares him to one several times.
Douglas Mortimer - Fox, cunning and resorceful, symbolises wild wisdom and resilience
Clayton - Deer, often symbolises protection and leadership. Also depicted as a guardian, and a symbol of authority
Corbett - Wolf, good trackers and i'm pretty sure they have the best stamina in the animal kingdom? Stubborn yet intelligent, I was half tempted to put a domestic canine here since Corbett is pretty loyal to Brokston, but a wolf probably fits better as in the end he does go against Brokston
Cudlip - horse. I have no explanation for this. I just remember him really wanting that horse in the film. If it weren't for that I would put some kind of canine here.
Angel Eyes - Rattlesnake. Self explanatory. Plus the rattlesnake from rango is based off of him. A vulture was my second choice though
Talby - I genuinely don't know what else he would be, so cat it is
Ryan - Crow/Raven...idk...they represent death...and guilt i think...
Jaroo - Raccoon. Self explanatory.
It is Janurary 9th, 2025, and Lee Van Cleef would have turned 100 today.
Let's take some time to remember and appreciate this man for not just his iconic/gorgeous looks or however you would like to remember them, but his underrated talent, his incredible roles, good bad or neither, and him as a person as well.
He was a man who struggled a lot while he was alive. He faced many injuries and problems throughout his 64 years of life, which included drinking problems, a car accident, heart problems, throat cancer, and more.
However, despite many personal problems, Lee Van Cleef has also been able to do and has done positive things as well. Van Cleef was a war hero during World War II. He worked as a sonarman in the US Navy and was assigned to the USS Incredible minesweeper and performed sweeping duties and air-sea rescue patrols. Similar to Clint Eastwood, Van Cleef was also very versatile with his characters. He made them interesting, engaging, and complex, and you can't help but appreciate them.
Here are some of our favorites from Lee Van Cleef!
He truly was the best of the bad. Happy birthday, Mr. Van Cleef.

Look how Fēnix mogs every single one of them (I don't really like how Vogelrok turned out sobs)
Brutal
(This was a recreation of this thing:
There's a ~1 year difference between the 2 drawings which is obscene i inproved so much also WHY is El Condor depicted as a soft boy his short-tempered ass would canonically bash you in the head with the nearest object)
Pico Alfaro, Tabernas desert, Almeria.
