On November 4, 1977, the television version of the Incredible Hulk premiered. Several changes were made from the comic, including changing Bruce Banner's name to David Banner. In this version, Banner was a scientist who had a lab accident that transformed him into the Hulk. The show took a format similar to the Fugitive. I think for me the most poignant images that come to mind are 1. The split screen at the end of the theme song. The expressions on their faces and the duality just sum up the tone and overall plot of the show so well.

2. David researching with Elaina. There’s just *something* about this shot that is so visually interesting and satisfying to me, and it communicates so much and shows their dynamic. I also feel like it’s a rare side of Banner that we get to see.

3. David delivering the famous “don’t make me angry” line with McGee. That framing is ICONIC and it sets up the juxtaposition of Banner and McGee for the rest of the show

Has anyone thought about the fact that this means Elaina knew the Banners before David’s mom died, which means she’s been friends with David since they were kids? So they grew up together and went to medschool together? And have been best friends for forever? Anyone? Just me? I’ll just be crying in the corner.
