How to Tame An Outlaw Fanfiction Trailer | Allan/OC
Fanfiction link: here
Once a simple peasant girl, raised in a pleasant village. She'd grown up hearing all about the monsters of Sherwood forest. Outlaws, her mother had called them. Gruesome to look at, foul in stench, and dangerous to cross paths with. Suddenly, she's the very thing she feared, her fate entwined with two brothers, and life becomes unhinged in her search for a place to call home...
Elaine Walker wasn’t even sure if she’d liked the comforts of home. It was a foreign concept to her. She’d heard the tales of cozy fires, a warm shoulder to lean on and laughing so hard your belly ached. For so long she’d roamed Sherwood Forest alone - an outlaw and a thief. On April 26th 1192 she found a spoilt lord, a rogue outlaw and a tavern trickster. All she knew was an Outlaw cannot be tamed.
Okay, so I’ve just spent the best part of a year re-writing my old fanfiction; How to tame an outlaw because i’m incapable of just letting things go and I needed to finish it and the previous version of this story is written so badly I can’t bring myself to even look at it. So a re-write seemed necessary (hahaha I had so much better things to be doing with this year but every night I’ve stayed up to write this fic and 160,000 words later and only the first season is written)
I’m going to be uploading the first Chapter next sunday and then each week one per week. It’s already pre-written so there’s no fear of late uploads. I just can’t wait to share it with you guys.
An Extract:
“Wait up!” Someone called behind her. With an aggravated sigh she saw it was Allan.
“What?” She snapped, bringing her daggers up in defence. Not that she’d ever use them on Allan. Instead she turned around and without aiming chucked them at a tree. A chunk of trunk spat back out as the dagger landed solidly in the centre.
“Geez calm down,” Allan panted, having caught up with her, “If it makes you feel any better I think you’re right. We should ‘ave just given it to the Miller.”
“It doesn’t make me feel better but thanks I guess.”
“Calm down…”
“Calm down!” Elaine turned to face Allan fully. Her eyes transforming into slits as she challenged him to watch his words carefully. “We just gave money to the man that kicked me and my sister from my childhood home with nothing and everyone’s acting like I’m the one whose being ridiculas-”
“I don’t think you are,” Allan softly said, hesitantly taking a few steps forward.
The softness of his words made Elaine still and force herself to control her breathing. Sniffing she managed to choke out the first sincere, “Thanks… thank you. Sorry.”
Carefully she stepped through the bushes to reach her dagger, giving it a tug out.
“I didn’t think when I signed up to help Robin I’d have to listen everything he said,” she admitted quietly, ashamed at her outburst and that it was Allan that had to see it. After all, he was the only one who was attempting to comfort her.
“Neither to be honest,” Allan said, “Following authority isn’t really my style.”
“What is your style?” Elaine raised an eyebrow, curious as to what his skills were.
“Tavern tricks,” Allan admitted, “I’m pretty good at getting rich at the tavern.”
“I like stealing from people like you,” Elaine swung her daggers around in her hand, watching as the light bounced from them, “Tavern tricksters are always so confident they’re the ones stealing, they never expect when someone comes up behind them and tricks them.”
“Not me,” Allan shook his head confidently, “I’m the best thief around, you can’t trick me.”
