The sounds of a guitar playing could be heard through the whole hive. The blue blood kept playing a certain song, wanting to get it right, but manages to mess up on some notes even through many hours of practice. "Damn it. Messed up again." He hissed under his breath. A sudden knock came from his front door downstairs. He didn't expect any visitors. Could be his moirail or possibly someone he knows.
He lays his guitar on his bed and walked out of the room, downstairs and towards the front door. He opened it only to see the one familiar troll he had ever known. "Jaisnt..." The troll said. Her face hidden by a mask. "Elanti." He said as the two of them stood there, staring at each other.
She takes off her mask, blinking a few times. Jaisnt's eyes widened, seeing her different appearance, her hair cut short, and some piercings on her face. "Elanti... you've..." He couldn't find words to describe her. She only rolled her slit-like eyes, gently moving him aside and entering his hive. "Your place. Still looks dull even the last time I visited." She said, sitting down on the couch.
"Elanti... what the hell happened to you?" Jaisnt said. The sea dweller could only let out a sigh and looked up at him. She noticed how much he has changed. It must have been that long for the two not seeing each other. "I've gotten body mods and gave myself a new look. It's appealing to me. You have a matesprit with big breasts anyway. This shouldn't be much different to you." She says harshly.
He could only growl from the mention of that. "Elanti, I am serious. What the hell happened to you?! Ever since that day you found that journal, you became... more distant! The day I saw you and saw what you did... what happened to you?" He worriedly says. She narrowed her eyes at him, "I've not changed, Rodnik. I grew up, matured, and seen the task that I must unfold to make this planet worthy and dominant to other species."
He shook his head. "Did you have any idea how many of us... how scared we were of you? You were my friend, Elanti! I've trusted so much from you!" He says, his voice cracking up a little. "What do you know about me, Jaisnt? There's nothing to stop me from what I've done. Fear is the only way to show that I am worthy and you and the rest of the low bloods are nothing but garbage, lying around everywhere. I've given you chances to join me, for us to rule together and conquer planets as our own. You and me, Jaisnt."
Jaisnt grits his teeth, more angrier than before. "You were my friend, Elanti. I've told you so many things about me, you told me everything about you. Even before I got together with Claire, I liked you! I even had a crush on you!" He yelled, the sea dweller being surprised by his change of tone, but more some surprised from what he said. "That's how much you meant to me, Elanti. I trusted you to the point that I began to like you. But that all changed ever since that day. Now look at yourself! Wanting to become like the Condense and your ancestor combined for what? To start a genocide on all mutants and low bloods? What then? Everyone you have known would be dead because of what you have set in motion for yourself. Fucking think about that. think about it, Elanti! For once actually use your head to make a sane statement because I can't just stop and be scared about you of what you have become."
She stayed silent, looking down at the ground. She never thought of it that way before. Though she still believes in what she had her mindset to. She stood up from the couch and stared at him. The only thing she was more in thought of what he said about her. "Did you used to like me before? Or are you just saying it so it can convince me much easily?" She says, Jaisnt shaking his head, "No. Honestly, there's no point to try and convince. You've set your own path while I lost a friend, someone I cared about, someone that laughed with me, kept me safe from the dark, made me smile. That person I knew and cared for is gone."
The tyrian blood stood there, wanting to say something, but cannot find the words to say it. She's already having second thoughts with what she's been doing up to this point. What if he's right? Everything that she had done has been nothing but cruel things. There's been times that she question herself of the choices she made, but this was something much greater. She puts on her mask and walked out to the front door before stopping. "Jaisnt... I do not know whether to believe you, but...don't try to get yourself killed. And I'm sorry. This is who I am now." She walked out, Jaisnt standing there for a moment. It brought him memories, the day she became more distant and he tried talking to her. She said the same sentence back when they were young. He sat on the couch, sighing heavily knowing that there's no point now to change her mind.
