El Arco Iris 🌈 is closing down soon, and @jesseangelgomez wrote a touching tribute on his Instagram about his grandparents, Gustavo and Irene Montes, who opened this restaurant over 50 years ago in Highland Park. I wanted to paint it before it's not there anymore. I started to use the @shinhanart Pass hybrid gouache and watercolor for the last 2 paintings, so far I like how transparent they can be, as well as beautifully opaque like a gouache. 15"X20" gouache.
