The place was packed and that wasn't counting the amount of bodyguards that each guest brought to make sure that no one would do any sort of 'funny business'. Gideon couldn't blame them for thier paranoia, most of them--if not all--were pretty big when it comes to criminal activities.
And all of them were eager to discuss business and any potential partnerships in the near future with the host of this shindig.
It was a shame, Gideon thought, that Ramsey declined the invitation. He enjoyed the other's company and the man did employ his former protege, treated him well if he recalled correctly. Which is good, but it still stings that Ryan continues to stay rather than come back. Maybe he can arrange something later with Ramsey that would allow him to use the merc.
Taking a sip from the glass flute, Gideon glanced around as others chatted beside him. It seemed calm enough, but years of working in this sort of business gave the older man an instinct that would sound inhuman to others. Perhaps they’re right. Gideon stopped thinking himself as human a long, long time ago.
