The final elder design! Kind of? The finale new elder design who isn’t the elder god.

In frenrar the elder god demon was killed and as his blood falls to the earth it creates elders as well as monsters who appear as a mess fo flesh and facial features primarily. They’re feral and aggressive, the demons are aggressive still, but you can converse with them without being murdered immediately unlike the feral creatures. 😂

The next design to be finalised will be the elder god, who including these guys, makes the elder line up have a totally of 10 members. With 1 confirmed dead, the god, 3 elders missing, Delde, Dulo, and Calo, with 6 living in the demon realm, Rilo, Milo, Galo, Hulo, Saulo, and Fulo, by the time we are arriving in frenrar.

Check out all the other elders in the elder demon folder in my deviantar galley! (tinyhouse coming soon!) They all have their mini back stories by now, including this little demon called Fulo!

Fulo and Doulo are both well known for being weaker than a few of the elders by far, having little power over Hulo, Galo, or Rilo to be listened to, and rarely taken fully seriously by elders like Saulo and Calo.

Fulo luckily one the favour of her favourite fellow elder, Milo, having discovered they both were very interested in alchemy.

Milo has much more natural magical abilities than Fulo, but through study, training, and repetition of the two, Fulo improved massively, and is studying alchemy, just sadly current he is trapped in a location that only allows them a theoritcal understanding of the process, but there’s always something new on the horizon headed our way.

I kinda wanted to reference visually a couple of characters, I wonder if the other elements covered this, but idk from an outside perspective.

Gave them a fat belly cuz i wanted to, there’s not a lot of body shape variety in the elders and it can make sense with them all basically being made of the same orgional, but theyre also some of the elements of that elder gods personality.

All elders remeber the life of the elder got from his perspective when they first formed, some have lost this over time, but once they had their own independent existences, they only formed individual memories, no more collective, but still, that’s an excuse rather than a justified reason by faaaaar.

Tried to give them all little unque elements of their designs that other elders didn’t have, so hope that helps tell them all apart. 😂

Planning on doing some of those character grid memes to give a rough veiw of each ones personality, firstly going to do the spectrum meme I once did with kitty lith Klak (as kaliki) Rilo and Lotte, but with only elders first off. Which means ima have to draw lil icons of each but they’ll be simple and toony.

And here we have the original elder, Rilo. They were the first created, the first designed, Milo was mentioned a while afte Rilo was first brought up but he didnt get a design until this year. Rilo has always been a villian, not the fun megamind type, more cild calculated and tricky. They tend to try and solve issues and work towards their goals, by manipulating most of the other elders, Hulo seeming to be the only one it doesnt quite work on, but most likely because he doesnt listen to a word Rilo says, he likes them fine enough, but doesnt value their opinion. Tho Rilo is not the only antagonistic elder, they are the primary due to their close link to lith being her elder, the one who allowed her to become a demon once her human life had ended, and having some literal magic power over her because of this, which is mirrored with Landon and Dulo but dulo is protagonistic. Both landon and lith are the primary protags of atleast the first two story arcs in the frenrar story. Theres a lot id love to tell now but i also know i should really let people discover it as intended, in comic form over just writting, so i gotta keep working towards that. By the way this is basically a redraw of an older image of rilo but with minor design updates and with their torso closed instaed of open.

Galo is a rather smart demon at the end of the day, she enjoys gaining power but doesn't really want fame or to be notorious, she kinda prefers to surf on someone else's wave rather than making her own. This is all due to the actions of some of the elders to her, questioning her and berating her whenever she'd try to take charge of a situation or a decision, this caused her to grow isolated and her anger at the goons she was stuck with for eternity, she decided to essentially fuck with the power balance amongst the elders, attempting to keep her few allies in charge, without directly taking it herself. She doesn't pick on the lower rung elder demons out of self preservation, burning a bridge can really fuck you over later on. 😂 Shes close friends with Rilo, but unlike them I actually think she could be one of the very few redeemable elders if I can be good enough at writing her. Describing sex, gender, and sexuality is hard to describe for the elders as they are technically sexless and don't experience gender exactly as we do, which also effects their sexualities, so I've just gone for sapphic here because she is effeminate by earth standards and feels attraction towards women. None of the elders are meant to represent or be reflective of people in our real world, they're purely individuals and their misdeeds are not due to any lgbt sex/gender/sexualities. Just wanna make all this clear, writing villians is tricky and obviously im gonna make plenty of mistakes, but yeah, just wanted to make it clear that just because a less than good character is part of a minority group, doesn't mean I see that minority as less than good. I'm open to critisim and advice on handling this for sure! Galo likes to appear less physically intimidating that she may do with her extra arms and many beads to her necklace, so she covers with a long tunic and a poncho like top to hide her appearance, she'd prefer to be under estimated than accurately estimated at this point, prevents aggressive elders (*stares at Hulo*) wanting a fight. 😂

it’s less than a year since i first drew Dulo…

Yet here we are, since i started finishing designing all my elders in January, i realised i could line them all up!

When I first drew dulo i had 16 elders planned, but i’ve decided to leave some on the cutting room floor, they may end up being reworked into a non elder demon, as of now, there’s 13 elders.

Dulo is one who’s disappearance kicks off the first arc of my comic!

He tries to display as a overly laid back character, but also very keen on people finding him cool or interesting, because of this hes constantly trying to find the new cool thing which has lea to a mild obsession with earth culture and without much if a thought will babble on about something he has never actually personally experienced, almost like stealing the experiences of the humans hes known.

Hes not all that keen on the power battles of the elders and usually avoids the more hard-ass elders like Galo, Hulo, and Rilo. Lately he’s felt more exhausted than ever, which is strange because elders do not need it, hes lost some height, a set of horns, and his wings, hes not sure whats causing this, but hes taken up meditation to try and center himself.

So if you've been following my elder designs you may be noticing a few differences with this one, Delde, which includes her name.

This is because Delde split from the other elders very early on and hasn't partook in their hierarchy since.

When the elders first came into being, Delde took charge and most of the others were fine with this at the time, but anger, jealousy, and malice grew in some of the elders, this lead to many many large arguments and fights, which itself lead to an attempt to take out Delde, leading to her lost arm and injured eye, while she survived, she couldn't continue to be around the other elders. The trust was gone and she felt no reason to keep working with and for her peers.

She split from them and went into hiding on frenrar, she wasn't banished with them either, so 90% of their current society developed after delde left, including a lot of their appearance. The elders started with the basic features set, but the way they perceive themselves modifies it over time, and due to all the superiority complexes over there, when they're around one another they almost one up one another, Delde has retained a fairly similar appearance to when she was first aware, minus her lost parts.

She tried to convince others to leave with her but many like milo stayed due to a truce agreement made where no fight among elders would happen. Sadly, this wasn't the actual case. Anyone who has to make that kind of agreement probably wouldn't keep it.  😂

It'll be really late on that we will find out more about this lady but like all the elders, she's gonna be shown in the comic early on, she also has a child who I've already introduced, the only elder to have a 'child' but not in the way we humans do so. You'll find out later, Ive tried to make some visual similarities between the two.
