Elder Lyons: It’s kinda hot out to be wearing black, don’t you think Young Maxson: I look rad Sarah: You look pallid and sick Young Maxson, intensely sweating: Sick as fuck
Fallout: Wasteland Warfare Wave 8 - Capital Artwork
Sometimes I think about ten year old Squire Maxson. The little boy who had a love for the arts - writing poems and reading books. The boy who, by looking at his terminal, was incredibly talented in that area.
But then he had to excel in tactics and war instead. Only 6 years later.
I wonder if the 20 year old man we meet in the Commonwealth still enjoys stories. If he writes or reads to unwind. Or if despite his love for these things, he's been 'bred' to be nothing but a leader of a war.
I don't particularly like Elder Maxson.
But whenever I think about Squire Maxson, and everything he could have been in a different life, I get really sad for a little while.
when i first read Maxson's terminal entries in the Citadel when he was ten, and saw he had written "yesterday, Sarah taught me how to kill a man by stabbing him in the kidneys...i think i'm in love," my first thought was —
Dr. Li has strong opinions on the Brotherhood and reasonably so considering what they've done to her over the years. What would she think of that?
and that was when i realised she'd probably (sarcastically) tell Elder Lyons "what a wholesome and appropriate way to raise a child"
Fuck the Lyons honestly. They still take potshots at the ghouls from Underworld. They can spew all that save the capital wasteland bullshit all they want... its a fucking ruse. a farce. fuck em...
Wore my Lyons Pride tee to school today.
"Squire Maxson tends toward timidity, which is the main reason his mother sent him to the Citadel."
Jessica Maxson dumped her son onto Elder Lyons because he was timid.
Timid
A timid child
She sent him away for being a little bitch is what I gathered.
Now look at him. He looks like a grown ass man at the age of 20, has racism and possibly alcoholism.
All because he was a timid child?!
