Same, actually. I just don't like how everyone flips out when I tell them that, y'know, Spock and co were my childhood instead of what they expect.
I don't think even my irl friends know that I lie about this?

Happy birthday, mother. I do hope this fits. I love you.

Dave: Return to Your Family.
You walk through the hallways, not really paying attention to where you're going. Soon enough, you're looking in the window of your father's ICU room. You freeze for a moment, your hand inches from the doorknob. Would he even want to see you after you bolted like that? You shove that thought away. Of course he would. He's your father, and he's probably worried sick.
Turning the knob, you push open the door, stepping inside. You give a nod to those in the room and silently move to sit next to the bed again. You took your position like you had never left, your hand slowly going to your father's, squeezing slightly.

Tail your daughter.
You knew that Dave needed to talk to his father. They needed a very serious talk, if Dave's lack of expression was anything to go by. Seeing Rose slip out, you knew that she needed someone, especially now that she thinks she needs to be alone. You slipped out of the room, always keeping one turn behind your daughter.
When she came to a stop, you walked up behind her, slipping your arms around her shoulders, leaning her back against you. "It's alright, Rose. You can let it out here. I'm here, and your father is okay. You can let it out now."
