"Καρδιά (Kardià) and Μυαλό (Myaló) Were a couple of cultivated souls that are said to have existed sometime where the Greek civilization was blooming. The first was said to be a seer of things that have yet to happen, (an explanation that, surely, could have explained the unique eye she had on her face) and the other a seer of things that where.
Sadly for both lovers, Myaló's wisdom and unnatural ability couldn't be contained in the frail vessel that his fleshy body was, and he soon turned dead... but his soul never left, it whispered secrets of the past to Kardià, of histories that never happened, of worlds that existed long before Earth itself, and the girl herself began to see more and more futures; terrible, terrible things that would happen, may humanity still be alive by the time or not; it destroyed her credibility, but some of her tales are still conserved in our brotherhood's libraries.
In the end, Kardià disappeared, some say that the gods have smitten her for she knew too much, others that she got executed for folly, but me, I know: I know that she simply became much MORE than a mere human, I know that somewhere in the depths of the ionian sea, sirens of the Old One sing to venerate her and her lover, whose soul is still emprisoned in his skull.
I know that, when the sea turns red and the sun and moon disappear from the sky, she appears once more to burn the mind of the poor seafarers that might cross her with stories told in a language none can endure, only to disappear the next day, her victim’s fate is still unknown to this day, and none of us have the courage or dereason to try and uncover that mystery..”
