Game Reviews: ElecHead
ElecHead is that special kind of game that has one simple mechanic, explores it as fully as possible, and then stops right before you're tired of it, leaving you wanting more.
It's so simple, in fact, I actually have a hard time saying too much about it. It uses the mechanic of powering the surfaces you touch very well and very efficiently. Most of the time I got what I was supposed to do pretty quickly, and it was a matter of figuring out how to execute it, but there were a few times I got stumped. Figuring it out there was always a great moment, and I like that it makes use of some of the subtler aspects of the game's functions to solve puzzles. Plus it's always fun when a room-like game like this requires you to actually do something in one room to affect another. It's a great test of your knowledge that Zelda dungeons sometimes do, and it's a good way to make yourself feel smart.
Not much else to say. It's a great two hours of puzzle platforming. Give it a try.
