The largest marginalizing community in the us is the disabled community accounting for about 27% of the adult population. They deserve their voices to be heard even if they cannot leave their home.
There are well over 170,000 us troops stationed overseas. One would think their voices should be heard considering what they volunteer for their right to do so.
Healthcare workers (about 15million of the us workforce) regularly doing overtime, and with millions in this country working multiple jobs to afford basic needs with none of the employers providing benefits deserve, they deserve their voices to be heard.
Rural farmers and residents,
oversea scholars and NGO volunteers,
there are hosts and hosts of communities that should be heard and will not be able to be heard without this FUNDAMENTAL TOOL.
Do not operate in fear. Any concerns should be faced boldly without punishing those who seek simple basic rights to be fulfilled. You cannot deny basic rights in the name of “security” which is a subjective topic at best.
If you scream for a life jacket i won't deny it to you because there COULD be a wasp in it. I smack it to make sure there is none and then save your fucking life. Priorities.
