I already spiced up Electra with some more fishy details but I’d love to do a more gothic look for these ghouls. Idk if there’s more lore for them besides they’re doing some fashion event at monster high (off-white insta has the dolls facetiming each other??) but the names are giving music stars for sure so haha

Electra Melody Face Redesign!

I got bored yesterday and kept thinking about the new Electra Melody doll from the Off White x Monster High partnership and as I mentioned before there was something off about the face to me so I decided to design it myself! I also don’t know much about fashion or makeup so I didn’t realize that these outfits are inspired from actual Off White design! That makes it kind of cool but I still don’t find the dress too appealing…

The first picture is the original, second is without the scales, and third is my full redesign! I also included the face on a picture with more of the outfit included to see if it would still mesh well. I forgot to add to the notes that I made the eyes a bit bigger because I miss Lagoona’s wide fishy eyes too lol!

The thing about the Off-White dolls is that they're very pretty dolls, they have beautiful and interesting sculpts, their make-up is on point, and they have cool hairstyles (none of these praises apply to Raven tho lol, she's super boring in comparison to the other three).

But the clothes are meh (Harmonie is the only one whose clothes look even remotely interesting) and for the price they were launched at, you would expect the fashion to be better than just meh. I do think more people would like them if they cost a maximum of $70 USD instead of $150 USD.

Wish I could get them at a better price but that is highly unlikely, maybe if I ever find them nude, I'll consider getting at least one of them (not Raven tho, sorry I'm a hater lol).

Anyways rant over, I just wished Mattel would have made them more affordable, I'm kinda salty because they're pretty and I couldn't get them lol.

Mattel meets Off-White.

I'm not a brand name person at all, but when these ghouls were first released I fell head over heals for Harmonie. Originally I was just going to try for her (I had no idea how quickly they'd go!), but the more I looked at Electra, the more I liked her, so when I got home from work (she dropped about the time I clocked on) and she was still available I went "Eh, what the heck? This way if I don't get Harmonie, I'll have one of them."

No regrets. Absolutely none. Sea Monster? Grey eyes? The details that are so awesome no camera can capture them? Mmmm, yeah!

Ooo these look soo cool. I'm not spending $150 on a doll lol but they look absolutely gorgeous. I like that there's more black in these designs, and Electra's hairstyle is awesome.
