So… does Somfy Connexoon actually work with Alexa, Google, and HomeKit?
Short answer: yes to Alexa, yes to Google Home, and a "sort of, with a catch" on Apple HomeKit. Here's the real breakdown if you're setting up home automation for your blinds or curtains.
Alexa ✅ Works right out of the box. Enable the Somfy skill, log in, say "Alexa, discover devices," done. Then it's just:
"Alexa, close the bedroom blinds"
"Alexa, set living room curtains to 50%"
Google Home ✅ Same deal. Add Somfy in the Google Home app, sign in, everything syncs. Try:
"Hey Google, open bedroom curtains"
Apple HomeKit ⚠️ This is the one nobody tells you upfront Connexoon isn't officially HomeKit certified. That's actually Somfy's other hub, TaHoma. If you want Siri control, you either:
grab TaHoma instead, or
use a community Homebridge plugin to bridge your existing Connexoon setup (not official, but it works)
