Khawaja Asif signed the electricity agreement with China in torch light!

In Islamabad, the electricity agreement was signed between China Power Hub Generation Company, Private Power Infrastructure Board and Central Power Purchasing Agency regarding the new installment of electricity projects throughout the country with regards to CPEC.

While addressing the media, Khawaja Asif said the government has achieved another milestone of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Both power projects will be completed in 2019.

Before signing the agreement, the surprising thing that happened was that the conference hall fell into darkness for few minutes because the electricity went off suddenly. Chinese officials and the minister reviewed agreement papers through mobile’s torch light.

Energy Minister Hamid Chitchian said here on Thursday that Iran has planned to attract foreign investments, worth $28 billion, in electricity projects in the next few years.
