It’s been an extended amount of time since we’ve heard from Australian project Set Mo, the production pair consisting of Nick Drabble and Stu Turner. Turns out, they were fast at work making sweet music, and not just by themselves, but with one of our long time favorites, singer songwriter and producer Woodes. She graces I Belong Here’s supple soundscape with her lithe smoky vocals. The electronic track also features a mini choir on backing vocals that involves high caliber talent, too. Asta, Elizabeth Rose, and KLP all join in on the svelte shimmying indie dance meets melodic house opus. I Belong Here is available from iTunes, here.

Alec Empire, low on Ice - dubby ambient breaks,the title track off a chilled (literally) album. as the liner notes from last January’s re-staging read:

Empire’s ‘Low On Ice’ (The Icelandic Sessions) is a unique monument of atmospheric poignancy and sonic radicalism.

It was created in 1994 in a single session in Iceland when, immediately after a festival appearance with Atari Teenage Riot, Empire “drove with buzzing ears to the great outdoors, seeking an exact opposite experience” in which to experiment with minimalist analogue electronic hardware.
