(regarding “i need to find a new job”) be a freaking scientist, please. go into biotech.

my grades in hs were bad also i am awful at listening/school in general. just doesnt work well with me. unfortunately i think the most science will ever be for me is a hobby. science inspires me to make art though, which is a really important component of how i make my art so i dont really see it as choosing one over the other since the 2 are so intertwined for me~

have you ever thought about doing video game art? or cgi for movies?

ive been thinking a lot about stuff for videogames actually, yeah. still trying to figure out how exactly i would apply myself. its kind of hard because my style is really, really detail oriented and more like traditional art bc i dont do dithering a lot or like patterns like normal pixel art so everything takes for rufcking ever and idk how that would pan out if i was doing something like a videogame but im still figurin that stuff out, and its not like i cant learn new stuff~

that’s really fucked up, and kind of discriminatory. you can always e-mail hr if it keeps happening. but in the big picture this job will be just a blip in the course of your great life!

30 rock is annoying, but Mad Men is brilliant, if you like dramas. I think you’d like season 4 episode 9 “the beautiful girls.” I’d consider it a personal favor if you’d give it a chance.

You can decide what you really want in 2-3 years and look at the diff. paths you can take to get there. No matter what, you are going to be changing and developing along the way, and now is the opportunity to choose in what way u will. No pressure :p

yaaa no pressure at all ahaha. im pretty set on special effects makeup though because it combines painting + sculpture + makeup and i generally tend to mix my love of bio with my art since literally almost everything i make is just animals that im obsessing over at the moment

No reply necessary but have you thought about being a scientist? In case the art thing doesn’t work out. Biopharma companies are doing a lot of work in these fields and female scientists have a lot of educational assistance available I think.

i wanted to be one since i was little it was my plan initially but i did awful in school and art just kinda ended up being what i was good at honestly. i still hated science class and only did good in genetics because i still dont like studying so i like to keep it more of a hobby
