Wowhaus. Electrotheatre “Stanislavsky”. Photo report.
Several days ago we went to the Electrotheatre “Stanislavsky” and met there one of the Wowhaus architects, who told us about renovation process and how did they reconstructed every single space of the theatre.
When we came to the theatre, the first place where we got was the big space, which is divided into several corridors by partition walls. I paid my attention on these partition walls - they hanged from the ceiling and can be moved and the big empty space appears. I like the variety of patterns, created by different combination of material layers in the interior.
The long-distance wall there is a bar zone, where are black simple chairs and tables. The light falls from above to tables and this make cozy atmosphere.
I would like to pay your attention on materials of the stairs in the middle of the foyer and leading down. Walls are trimmed with copper and it reflects the light in an interesting way. For railings architects used also metal with wood and it looks great. The stairs are original.
Downstairs there is a cloakroom and the thing that caught my eye were walls and seats - they all are faced with wood and the light from gaps between ceiling and walls, that light up whole zone was great. Edison bulbs in the ceiling also add some specific atmosphere.
