I kind of think their compliance is because of their regret in ignoring Pink and forcing her hand. So they're willing to listen to Steven because they think he IS Pink, and they want to make sure Pink doesn't get upset and runs off on them again.

But between them not even being a little hesitant apart from the “how do we fix this” and the Diamond dream Steven had where Blue was scolding Pink for making excuses about it being too hard, it just feels to me that it’s more Pink not being straight forward with what she wants and more making excuses because they were easier.

There was never any lore between Mercy and Reaper though- a lot of it was hearsay and rumor people mistook for truth.

i mean its not even that, just simple things like blizzard saying that mercy was originally 34, but changed it to 37. And then this short implying that Gabe was reaper apparently before he left blackwatch/died. And then just general things like the lore, like they claimed that omnics just turned nice or whatever and then never elaborated??

It doesn’t look solved to me. Steven left the room and curled up on the couch, he still looks like he’s ready to cry. This is episode seems to mark where he starts to sort his feelings out.

Plotwise I guess its not, but I feel like the episode itself needed a better resolution than Rose saying “yeah but its not what you REALLY think” and Steven just accepting it. Normally I think the crewniverse really nails the dialogue and actions so that they fit in 10 minutes and convey the message they’re trying to send, but here I feel like they could’ve spent less time with Connie and more time with the conflict’s “resolution” so that it doesn’t feel that rushed
