I just recently had a period so bad that I bled through three pads in a hour. There was a lot of clotting too. I ended up using adult diapers. Anyway, I’m not sure if it’s menopause or something else but yeah, periods get weird when you get old. Also, everyone I know my age or older has had a hysterectomy so they can’t tell what it’s like going through menopause either.
Ouch, yeah I’ve come close to that - yesterday when I went to the bathroom (after only 2-3 hours since the last time) it was just soaked all the way through and overflowing on the sides. Doesn’t help that I seem to have a relatively large ~area down there compared to most people (based on underwear, panty liners and pad sizes) so even with the biggest pad I’m still basically putting a bandaid on a decapitation. May need to look into adult diapers too tbh, or at least see if there are any even bigger pads than the ones I use (maybe the pharmacy or somewhere online has some). I wish I could use tampons but I’ve never been able to even handle the idea of just walking around with something shoved up in there, I know I’d feel it and not be able to stop thinking about it.
I haven’t even started worrying about menopause yet, should be at least 15 years away and who knows if I’m even still alive then. Anyway, however bad that gets at least I’d know at the end of it I don’t have to have my period anymore. My mom took some kinda pill for it so she barely had any menopause issues at all, I’ll probably do the same when the time comes.
