ELEMENTARY SEASON 5 REVIEW

My rating may be contradicting my words but I am a huge Elementary fan. But this season in my opinion was a huge fail. Elementary has this pattern of running a side story along with the cases. Moriarty,Kitty, Senior Holmes and even Watson sometimes. Shinwell’s story however, was in one word was uninteresting.
Not much of Kitty.
I wouldn’t have complained about this at all. Kitty was never my favorite. But since they introduced her, one episode in the entire season was ridiculous. And of course , in that one episode itself, they left it unexplained what was she doing that was keeping her so busy ? Not fair !
NO MORIARTY !
Are you kidding me ? Season 5 was meant to be Morirarty’s season. But NO! Producers/Writers couldn’t bother to bring her back for at least one episode ! Are you seriously suggesting that Moriarty being such a genius and evil doesn’t want to break out that prison or can’t ? Pfft. It’s about time she came out and caused some HAVOC !
Shinwell !
This side story is the worst ever ! And a bit of racist too. To make up this SBK gang being all blacks. Come on. I mean it’s already a stereotype enough, promoting this is NOT a good idea. Not to mention the rival gang was all Mexicans. I have read some other reviews , they might have liked it ! But I damn sure didn’t.
Not much of deduction ~
The cases of the entire season weren’t as good as previous seasons. They lacked that intelligence. That intelligence of committing a crime and intelligence of solving it ! Neither was present in any of the cases. Most crimes were commonplace. Didn’t enjoy any of those.
MAY ??? WHAT IN THE TWISTED WORLD ? Where did she come from ? She is present in one episode as Holmes’s meeting partner/head and in next she is claiming she loves him. WHAT were the writers thinking ? I just am so annoyed.

She by far after Irene was the best match for Sherlock. Sherlock didn’t feel it “right” but I think it should have been explained more why he suddenly chose to just give her up. Writers messed up this one too.
All in all , I was a very unsatisfied fan this season and hope that is not the case in the next season.
Although everyone is saying that season ended in cliffhanger but it really didn’t ! There is no way Holmes won’t recover from this sickness. How will the show proceed with him not well ? Pfft. So obvious.
