This album dropped in 1991. I might be the only cat the even knows about this. I was 22 and full of energy. I wanted to sound like Koono. I think he may have been heavily influenced by Zawinul. I always ALWAYS saw Kitty as a younger daughter figure to Sherlock and Joan.

The way they both worried about her and the way Sherlock coddled her sometimes was just adorable to watch and see. After today's episode I just feel like their relationship was played out right. I wasn't concerned with the pacing at all, and as a die hard Joanlock shipper I wasn't even threatened by the "I love you" from Kitty. after seeing firsthand what she had to overcome letting Sherlock into her life, I just couldn't help but see it as acknowledgment to a figure she respected and admired who respected and admired what she did and saw the latent potential in her. A loving mentor/student relationship, not anything romantic. She trusted him not to ever try anything physical with her because she was still hurting and smarting from her tormentor's actions. She trusted him enough to come LIVE with him in a foreign country! And at the end of the day, what he said and his actions towards her this epp and the whole season so far really spoke to me and made me say "this...was beautiful."

Sherlock stopped taking drugs for her. she distracted him from the withdrawal and focused him. It's like a man who quits smoking upon finding out their wife is pregnant, or giving up a similar bad habit because you suddenly have someone who NEEDS you. And in the end they don't even realize how much you truly needed them. Symbiosis.

In a way it justifies Joanlock even more because Sherlock didn't need Joan. He learned that by finding Kitty. He wanted to come back and see her again. He _wants _ to be near Joan, he doesn't need to be. And that I think was the whole point of the Kitty/Sherlock relationship. To show that they had needed each other in that time period, but when the need had passed, so did their need for each other. Joanlock is not so passing a feeling. He will always have a soft spot for her. years can pass where they live seperate lives and he could come back and they'd fall back into the same routine. I'm sure Joan saw this too. That she wasn't who Sherlock needed, but who he wanted to be with and work with. And in Sherlock's mind I think that's the highest praise you can give. To be treated as an equal, a comrade, a true partner and friend.
