15 Years Ago Elephants Avoided The December 26th, 2004 Tsunami. A bit before the waves from the 2004 tsunamis reached land in Thailand elephants hurried inland, away from the coast. It is thought that elephants detected infrasounds from the oncoming tsunami and knew to head inland. This footage was has gone through multiple reposts over the years.
