Hel blinked. The material world of Midgard vanished like color being pulled from a painting. The grimness of her throne room replaced the agent's home. She was back where she left her physical body, before being sought out by the curiously revived agent. "Coulson?" she called out. No answer but the menacing growl of Garmr. Why was her hellhound growling? "My darling daughter, I thought you to know better." She spun, trying to pinpoint the location of her father. The darkness of Helheim seeped in worser than usual, and she only met with shadows. Eyes adjusted to the brightness of Midgard would take a bit to regain their usual belonging to the dark. "Tsk, tsk," chided Loki's bodiless voice. "You bit off more than you can chew." "As did you," Hel reminded him. "With the same person nonetheless. Now show yourself." Loki materialized into the smirking bastard she wanted to hit, and she did so. He stepped back before attempted it twice. "Hello Hel." "It's been awhile, Father. About three decades, give or take. Here I thought you were saving up for the family reunion." "Word has it you plan on celebrating it sooner than I thought." Hel thought back on Coulson's words; how the endless cycle could be broken. Maybe the agent was right. Or not. "And if I am? It is bound to happen." "Oh, I know." He chuckled. "No qualms there. No, no... I have come to grant fatherly advice." "Because you're the epitome of wise decisions." Loki shrugged. "Take it or leave it." He strolled over to the throne, sitting on it. "Word has it—" "Who’s word?" "Sources’ words. Word has it that you made a deal with Thanos. Listen, as tempting as having a herald outside of Helheim appears, it is not worth dealing with Thanos. Trust me." "Do you offer a better solution? It has been made. All I must do is create another plague. People will die due to sickness, join my halls, and I receive Coulson in the end." "No deal is that good." Father left again, leaving me with Garmr and my unsure thoughts. A few hours spent with a mortal could not stop my plans. Ragnarok would still happen.
Well good night all....
I think I've caught up on everyone I owe... but if I haven't like if I do.
