This was a very fun commission for a friend's current DnD character!
A Bard Shadar-Kai elf, but specifically not too violent or edgy as many of the references I saw show.
I pictured the violin as allowing him to be very precise and cutting. Learning about the Shadar-Kai was such an interesting deep dive, with them being between life and death. They also seem to worship the Raven Queen, which gave me the idea of a blue/black color scheme.
Using the blue highlights in super pale skin was daunting at first, I tried to stay away from making it too alien-like, but it turned out great! I used a new shading technique and it was such a joy to watch the colors just come to life.
