Third attack! This time @trucbiduleschouettes's super cool Shadar-Kai, Rada! I absolutely adore her design so much, knew I had to draw her for artfight.
Baldur's Gate 3 Tavs and Durges Introduction (OLD VERSION)
This is the old version!! Here is the new one!
Sooner or later I figured I should make a proper introduction to all of the Baldur's Gate 3 characters I use! Listed in the order that I most use them in.
Evangeline Colune - The Weaveblood
Drow Wild Magic Sorcerer/College of Valor Bard - She/Her - Entertainer Background - Chaotic Good - Romanced Karlach
My main girl! I love her to pieces. She's a very talkative and sweet girl who tries to make friends with everyone.
Her mother escaped with her from the Underdark when she was a baby, but they got chased and attacked - Evangeline was hit by a mage's spell, which fatally wounded her, but her mother was able to get her to a temple of Eilistraee who brought her back to life and imbued the wound with pure magic. She stayed with her mother on the surface for about eighty years before setting out to see the world.
She travels the world, not staying too long in one place. She likes meeting new people, trying new things, eating new foods, and going new places. She loves hearing stories and telling them, and will talk for hours if you let her. She's very friendly and helpful, especially to those in need. She can be a bit naive and overly trusting, however, and get herself into bad situations.
In game, she tries extremely hard to please everyone in the party and keep fighting to a minimum, even if she isn't always successful. Not much can discourage her, but she does easily burn herself out trying to juggle everyone's wants and opinions. Her and Kalrach are a very chaotic duo that love to go wild and slay monsters together. Karlach is also the one that Evangeline feels like she can really open up to and be completely herself around without having to put on a smile all the time.
Hael'diira was born male and was overlooked in drow society, but through devotion and prayer Lolth granted her the body and station she wanted. She became top priestess in her class, and later, even a matron to her own house. But even with her four children and position of power, she longed to know if there could be anything better. She faked her death to join a temple to Eilistraee, and later, become a cleric to her.
It wasn't the smoothest transition, however. She feared the surface after the fearmongering around it that she was brought up with. Her first time on the surface led to her being chased by angry villagers, getting her foot caught in a bear trap, and having to cut herself out. She is terrified of the surface and doesn't want to set foot on it. She often relapses and falls into her old ways, even if her goddess is trying to lead her to a scarier but ultimately better life.
She's a woman of very few words, but too many thoughts. She has a bit of a staring problem, and likes to read more than talk. She can be extremely bossy and calloused as she's still trying to unlearn a lot of habits. Minthara took an interest in her, as she knew that she had to be noble and knew that Hael was hiding more than she was letting on. I'm still developing their relationship, as I haven't finished her playthrough yet.
Blanche Alpenhelm - The Icewarden
Tiefling Paladin of Vengeance (Dark Urge - Resisted) - She/They - Haunted One Background - Lawful Good - Romanced Shadowheart
Blanche is a chivalrous knight, and tries her hardest to be as good as she can be. She tries to push past her dark urges, even if they seem to catch her at the worst moments and try to drag her to a life she desperately wants to leave behind. Her and Shadowheart had a lot to overcome and fought sometimes over Shadowheart becoming a Dark Justicar, but she was also the rock that Blanche needed to be able to reject Bhall.
She takes her oath and duties very seriously, and can easily come across as cold and detached, but inside she's very emotional and wants to be seen as brave and helpful. Her path to redeem herself is an extremely messy one, but one she'd give up anything for.
Oleander thinks of herself as an animal, or at least no better than one. She listens to her instincts and figures whatever her gut is telling her is the correct course of action. Unfortunate for her that these instincts are Bhaal, commanding her to slaughter everything she sees.
She's bitchy and grouchy with a permanent migraine and scowl on her face. All that she wants, once she finds it out, is to return to her previous role of being Bhaal's chosen, and she'd do anything to return to it. There's potential that she may have been redeemed, but with everyone around her also having delusions of grandeur it just served to enable her bad behavior. She messed around intimately with Lae'zel and Minthara, but ultimately no one really mattered to her in the end.
Oleander was my "100% evil" run, and now I'm playing her again for solo honor mode.
Rosamund - Warrior of the Raven Queen
Shadar-Kai (previously a high elf) Shadow Monk/Death Domain Cleric - She/Her - Acolyte Background - Lawful Neutral - Romanced Wyll
Rosamund was dropped off on the doorstep of a monastery, and trained under their monastic beliefs of balance, the circle of life and death, and being at one with your environment. She was a devoted student, until she discovered it was all a cover so the leader of the monastery could sacrifice all of them in order to become a lich. In the confrontation when she tried to expose him, she was banished to the Shadowfell to become a shadar-kai over the course of decades.
She doesn't show any emotions nowadays, besides one - a burning hatred for the undead. The Raven Queen found her wandering the Shadowfell aimlessly and gave her a purpose - to hunt down those trying to cheat death and put them back where they belong. She was tadpoled on her mission to hunt down Ketheric and put a stop to his immortality - something that the Raven Queen personally detested.
She ended up bonding the most with Wyll, as he made her feel like some of her emotions were coming back. She doesn't think she'll ever be able to completely be the same again, but she appreciates Wyll's patience and compassion towards her. He lets him do most of the talking since she speaks with a monotone voice and can't really show much emotion.
Hickory Er'Bella - The Crowning Jewel
Wood Half-Elf College of Lore Bard - They/Them - Noble Background - Chaotic Neutral - Romanced Gale
Hickory was the child of a noble elf, and was extremely pissed to be suddenly sleeping outside. They were extremely entitled and fussy, and complained the entire time to Baldur's Gate. It was through that journey that they learned a lot about themselves and how to be less shitty towards those trying to help. They romanced Gale, but despite trying to show him that they cared more about him as a regular person than some kind of God, Gale chose Godhood anyway. Their breakup was extremely messy, and they ended up following Karlach and Wyll to Avernus just to get away from him.
Hickory was my honor mode character (completed)
Crumbs - The Hunter
Human Hunter Ranger - She/Her - Outlander Background - Neutral Good - Romanced Lae'zel
Coming from a far-off land, Crumbs is enthusiastic and wholesome and puts her all into everything that she does. She's an extremely skilled monster hunter and bodyguard. She knows a lot about hunting monsters, traps, and tracking, but besides that she's not that bright. She bonds with Lae'zel over their shared love of dragons and exploring.
She goes by many different titles, as the society that she is from doesn't really give traditional names - Only titles. She is known as "Fiver" "Hunter" "Shield" and her nickname "Crumbs." She was given that nickname as a joke. "She's so dull, she's got nothing but crumbs in her head" So really she's a himbo. Lae'zel calls her Hunter, as she thinks 'Crumbs' is too silly.
Crumbs was my Monster Hunter World character that I brought into BG3, and is also my "default" character that I make whenever I start a new game (Monster Hunter, Bg3, Rouge Tra.der, etc.) just to feel it out.
