                       Nhyvania Haleira the Illegitimate Elfblooded Trevelyan 

An elfblooded  illegitimate child of the Trevelyan family, Nhyvania is used primarily for ‘issues of import’ that would potentially endanger the other heirs and siblings of her family. She is an accomplished spy, thief, and infiltrator, and even trained as a bard for a short time, traveling about Orlais on behalf of her family before being caught and held at ransom, thus proving her family had no place in the Game, shaming them. Since, she has remained in a quiet exile at a small house on the estate, training with throwing knives and taming horses for the rest of her noble family to ride at leisure. 

Her father died of spring fever a few years ago, and of her mother, she has only small memories; she is unsure of what happened to her. Her father never spoke of her, and his wife has always been less than fond of Nhyvania, as well as her ‘true-born’ siblings.

Nhyvania took on two names in honour of her origins; Haleira, meaning Fox of the Snow in elvhen, and Nhyvania which is a name passed down in the Trevelyan family meaning something akin to ‘Early Frost’. She is unsure who named her, her mother or father. She is divided on faith, but has small shrines to the elvhen in the back of her house, hidden from view from the rest of her zealously chantry-toting family.

Are elven traits recessive and human traits dominant? That would explain why the offspring of a homozygous human and an elf appear to have a human.phenotype. The elven alleles–some of them anyway–would be masked, right? Unless there’s codominance or incomplete dominance involved. Genetics is complicated. Ignore my rambling. Probably so wrong.

[OC Week - Friday] What would a poly relationship look like between Inara, Alistair, Anders, and Nathaniel? Would it center around Inara, or would they all be involved with each other? (In short: INDULGE ME.)

So this has been in my askbox for four days.

And I would just like to say: AHAHAHA, I laughed forever when I got this, and I love you dearly.

I would love to fuel your fantasies and tell you that that would be the hottest, most passionate time of Inara's life and that she'd get laid like crazy. And that might be true... for like a week or two. I'm quite sure if you put all four of them together, the sex would be fantastic.

However the more realistic(and boring) answer would be:

Inara could never handle that. 

She very simply would not be able to give that much of a shit about that many people at once, especially since all three of the men listed would require great deals of attention from her in any sort of intimate relationship. Inara isn't the type to have many romantic connections all at once;  she tends to and feels most comfortable focusing on one person, has a tendency getting a bit lost in them in fact.

Her split affection for Alistair and Anders is sort of an anomaly and results chiefly from her separation from one of them coupled with proximity to the other. If she had to deal with two or more people she had affection for in close quarters, she'd get flustered and end up shutting down all together. The push-pull "who do I choose and what do I say to who and where do I go and who do I spend more time with" would just be far too much for her to handle, and she'd go off somewhere and hide and not spend time with anybody ever again, probably. 

Each man has a certain place in her life(and Anders and Alistair have a certain place in her bed), and that's how she likes it. 

It's like she's got a nicely made plate at a banquet and is one of those people who get all fussy about the peas and potatoes touching even if they might be delicious all mixed together.
