i guess this is circumstantial. my family -- the family that's raised me and sheltered me all these years -- has been necessary in my upbringing, in clothing me, feeding me, sheltering me, teaching me, and loving me. and if they were to suddenly vanish tomorrow, it's not like i'd just. be totally okay with it. but i would learn to move on with help from my CHOSEN family, which i feel is. slightly more important than the family you are raised with because you are at liberty to add to and subtract from your family as you please. you don't have to surround yourself with people that make you feel bad about yourself and that's very important. both types are important for different reasons, but your chosen family, i feel, is the more important of the two.
