Prompt 2: Semi-cracky established cas/sam, where people always mistake Cas and Dean for a couple (at diners, bars, on cases). Maybe it drives Sam crazy and he so he gets really possessive in bed (doesn’t have to be top!sam, I actually prefer bottom!sam). What I really want is all three of them to be so confused because to them it’s so obvious that Sam and Cas are together, while Cas and Dean have never been anything but platonic. Anywhere you want to go with that would be great :)
Rated: R (explicit blowjob)
Words: ~2,600
Notes: This is shorter than I wanted it to be and I’m really sorry (my birthday’s in December too so along with the holidays things have been a little nuts) but I hope you like it! To make up for the shortness I’m hoping that in January I can take a stab at your third prompt as well, because I kind of wanted to do both but didn’t have the time. And thank you to Marisa for being my Beta!
Dean inches away and makes faces and touts his heterosexuality.
Castiel slips his hand into Sam’s and melts against his side when he can. When it’s not appropriate, he just frowns deeply, and shakes his head.
Sam mostly just stands there and looks irritated, and when he can, he wraps an arm around his angel (his, not Dean’s) and holds him close.
None of them get it.
It makes no sense to them, any of them, why anyone would think Dean and Castiel have ever considered each other as anything more than friends. They are close, yes, but only as friends. Never anything more.
To them, it’s quite obvious. How could anyone miss how completely (and according to Dean, grossly) in love Sam and Castiel are? It’s really not that hard to see. It’s there in how Sam smiles when Castiel says something that’s just a little off, and it’s so adorable he can’t help it. It’s there in how Cas always looks to Sam first for an explanation when he’s confused by something. It’s there in the easy quiet between them when they’re both engrossed in a book or a task. It’s just there. Everywhere. All around them. It’s how they look at each other, how they find every excuse to touch.
Yet no one seems to see it. No one other than them anyway. People at restaurants, on cases, everywhere they go, always smile and say how adorable Dean and Cas are. Sam thinks he might have to get some anti-stress pills or something, he’s been grinding his teeth so much lately. Sometimes, when people are especially exuberant about his brother and his boyfriend he seriously wonders if it’s possible to crack a molar on another molar. He wants so badly to shout at them, to loudly and vehemently defend his place in Cas’ heart. But much more than that, he usually wants to respond by simply grabbing the angel and kissing him. See if they still think Cas is with Dean when Sam’s tongue is in his mouth. That would be pretty unmistakable, right?
Sometimes, he acts on this urge. Castiel certainly doesn’t seem to mind. In fact, Sam’s becoming suspicious that Castiel has made a connection between the mistaken couplings and the rough, needy, semi-public sex. In fact, Sam’s almost sure that Castiel has not only made the connection, but has started to do it on purpose. The clever bastard. And it’s not like Sam can help it, every time anyone mistakes Castiel as someone else’s he just has to grab him and pull him into the bathroom, or out to the back of the building, or back to the car. Sometimes he can wait until the motel, or makes himself wait, but its not easy to spend even another moment without staking his rightful claim on Cas. Dean’s getting rather sick of them, especially when they use his car, and he’s threatened to get a shirt that proclaims THE BLUE-EYED DUDE IS NOT MY BOYFRIEND just to stop them. Sam’s not sure even that would work. The world seems sadly determined to completely ignore his relationship unless he spells “SAM’S” in hickeys on Cas’ neck. Which is unfortunately social unacceptable, so he just tries to hold Cas’ hand as much as humanly possible.
They all try and correct people as much and as quickly as possible. Which is why Sam is so desperately confused when one day Castiel seems magnetically attracted to Dean’s side. It’s like he’s trying to look like they’re dating. He cups his hand around Dean’s to look at evidence, he presses up against his back to get a good look at the case file, he sits on his side at the diner and practically glues himself to Dean’s side. Dean looks horribly uncomfortable the whole time, trying to escape and failing, which would be hilarious if Sam wasn’t burning up with possessive jealousy. The waitress finally does it, commenting on how great it is to see a gay couple being so proud. She’s looking straight at Dean and Cas. And Sam swears that Cas is smirking. The angel looks smug. Bastard.
Sam nearly growls and shoves out of the booth, jerking his head at Cas and stalking towards the door. Castiel’s self-satisfied little expression remains as he floats after Sam calm as can be, like this was his plan the whole time. That tickles something in the back of Sam’s brain, wondering what the hell got into him today and what the point was. But really, he can’t even think straight past the need to get Cas back to the motel and leave enough marks on him to last a decade. He wants to claim his angel beyond a doubt. He slams the car door and Castiel just settles in looking all serene and Sam can’t help but lean over before he even starts the car to kiss that smug fucking smile right off Cas’ lips, forcing them open with his tongue. Castiel hums and kisses right back, a hand working its way into Sam’s hair and holding him close. He seems completely content, which only reinforces Sam’s thought that this was on purpose.
“We’re going back.” He announces gruffly as he pulls away, and Castiel just nods, smiling with now-slick and swollen pink lips, and Sam has to refrain from taking him right there in the car because Dean almost killed them the last time they did that. Instead, he almost kills them himself by driving back to the motel like he’s going to die if they don’t get there in the next ten minutes.
Somehow they survive the drive back to the motel without crashing, and Sam shoves the door open and stalks in ahead of Cas. The angel follows him, still looking as if there’s absolutely nothing different or problematic going on. Sam, nearly seething, decides that it’s about time he got Castiel to change his expression to something a little more appropriate. He wants to mess the angel up a little, make him rumpled and wrecked so that self-satisfied look can’t return. Except when he spins to grab Cas, the angel beats him to it, putting a hand on his chest and easily shoving him back against the wall. With his angelic strength, Cas can easily toss Sam around like a doll, and honestly, it’s kind of hot. The hunter, despite his size, ends up the one pressed back against the hideous wallpaper as Castiel presses up against his front.
“What has gotten into you my love?” Castiel tuts, and his smirking eyes show he knows exactly what’s made Sam like this. But the hunter has no chance to retort because there are teeth on his neck and Cas knows what that does to him and fuck yes. This is what he wanted all along. Wrapping an arm around Cas’ waist to pull him even closer, Sam tilts his head back, shivering as Cas’ lips move up his neck to nip at his jaw. “So impatient for me. I was surprised you managed to control yourself as long as you did.” The angel hums, pulling back to smile at Sam for a moment before leaning in and kissing him properly, a hand slipping up and tangling in the hunter’s hair to pull him down into the kiss. Sam reciprocates greedily, tongues clashing and teeth catching. Even though Cas is technically the stronger one, Sam can just as easily lift him, and he takes the opportunity now to wrap both arms securely around the angel. Cas takes the hint and hitches his legs up around Sam’s waist, letting the man carry him across the room to the bed, never breaking the kiss.
“You did this on purpose didn’t you?” Sam pants out when they finally break for air, having set Cas on the bed, now hovering over the angel.
“I couldn’t help myself.” Castiel shrugs, smiling up at Sam. Reaching up, he pecked the hunter on the lips before rolling, grabbing Sam and flipping them, pushing the man into the bed and climbing up to straddle him. His smirk has only grown as he leans down, kissing along Sam’s neck and then down, fingers deftly undoing buttons to reveal more skin for his mouth to roam over, making the hunter moan. “You get so worked up… so needy… so greedy… so beautiful.” The angel sighs against Sam’s skin happily, flicking his tongue against a nipple and grinning at the groan that elicits. Despite the very distracting sensation of teeth and tongue making him shiver, Sam manages to lift his hands and tug at Cas’ jacket, suddenly detesting all the layers his angel wears. Not that he’s much better, but still. It’s ridiculous to still be wearing tie and suit jacket when they’re like this. Castiel pulls back and chuckles, shedding the jacket but batting his hands away when Sam tries to go for the shirt too, ignoring the whine and pout that gets him. “Patience, Sam. Not quite yet.” Sam huffs, but obediently lets his hands fall, placing them on Cas’ hips instead. In the hopes of encouraging more loss of clothing, he rolls his own up, grinding against the angel and making him moan. The hunter grins at his success and does it again, making a pleased humming sound when Cas mirrors the action and leans down to kiss him again.
“I ought to apologize.” Castiel muses, eyes dancing as he flicks his brilliant blue gaze up to meet Sam’s hazel eyes, a slight smirk on his lips where they hover just centimeters from Sam’s own. “For teasing you so meanly.” The angel clarifies further, a hand drifting down along Sam’s side until he hooks his fingers into the top of Sam’s pants and tugs lightly.
“You deserve a reward for your patience and good nature.” Before the man can blink his clothes have disappeared. A trick he has never really gotten used to, but which does so come in handy. He sucks in a sharp breath as he feels the rub of fabric against his now bare skin, Cas wriggling downward and dragging his own still-clothed body across Sam’s. There’s something thrilling about being so exposed while the angel is still nearly fully clothed. He almost speaks, but whatever he was going to say is immediately forgotten when a tongue flicks out over the head of his hard cock. The hunter moans loudly, and earns a pleased hum in return as his angel’s hand wraps around the base of his erection, lips closing around the head and sucking lightly. Sam scrambles and manages to push himself up on one elbow, moaning again when Cas comes into view, looking gorgeous even with his mouth wrapped around Sam’s cock. Especially then really. The hunter reaches out with his other hand and runs his fingers gently through messy dark hair. Cas pushes into the touch and Sam presses deeper and tugs lightly, earning another hum that sends sparks of pleasure up into his belly.
Sam learned the first time they did this that angels have no gag reflex, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t amazed by it every time. Cas swallows all of Sam down easily, throat working to adjust to the intrusion. It feels absolutely incredible, and even though he knows it’s nearly impossible for him to hurt Cas, he still struggles not to buck up into the wet heat of his mouth. He’s always been so aware of his size in all areas, spent his life trying to make sure he never made anyone uncomfortable. But with Cas he knows that to an angel, he’s weightless as a child. It would be disturbing if it wasn’t so nice not to have to worry about it. He can’t hurt Cas, he can’t scare him, he can’t be too big or too imposing or too strong. The angel will always be able to overpower him, and easily. There’s something comforting in that.
The musing thoughts are cut off abruptly when Cas swallows around him, making Sam curse and moan. Unable to hold himself up any longer he drops back down to the bed, the hand in Cas’ hair tightening. Encouraged, the angel begins to bob his head, sucking and swirling his tongue and fuck a soldier of Heaven really should not be so good at something like this. Sam’s been wound so tight all day and he can feel that tension melting away, replaced by waves of pleasure. He knows that Cas must be using his grace too, helping to soothe him and encourage the warmth to spread, but he loves it. He loves the way his angel takes care of him.
For an angel, Cas’ mouth is downright sinful, and Sam knows he’s close when Cas pulls off his cock only to duck down and suck on his balls for a moment before returning to his weeping dick. The hunter gasps out the angel’s name, breathless and broken, and Cas moans around his length in response, taking him all the way down again. He goes back to work with a goal in mind now, working Sam with his mouth and hand and tongue. It doesn’t take long before Sam’s toes curl and his whole body goes tight as a wire, a strangled moan of Cas’ name ripped from his throat as he arches his back and comes hard, shaking with it. The angel swallows around him and works him through it, licking up any escaped drops as Sam collapses back against the bed, dazed and happy.
Only then, after Sam has melted into the mattress, does Cas move up to the man’s side and begin unbuttoning his shirt. Through his haze of pleasure Sam manages to look up at him and smile, watching greedily as those long, thin fingers reveal Cas’ skin inch by inch.
“I have something to show you.” Castiel says with a slight smile, shrugging out of the button-up. After it falls he inches forward, suddenly looking almost shy. Sam pushes up on his elbows, wondering what could have his angel nervous after all they’ve done together, all they’ve said. Castiel hesitates, and then holds out his hands, palms towards Sam. The hunter glances down and his eyes go wide, breath hitching. On Cas’ wrists are two elegantly scripted letters stamped in black ink. ‘S’ on his right, and ‘W’ on his left. Sam’s initials. Like a brand on Cas’ skin. But so much better. The hunter finds himself smiling, and he bends to kiss the tender skin gently, noticing they’ve already healed, even though Cas couldn’t have had them more than a day or two and kept them hidden from him.
“Do you like them?” Castiel asks in a slightly lust-rough voice that is somehow shy at the same time, “You’ve been so unhappy with people thinking I’m Dean’s boyfriend, I wanted to do this for you. To prove I’m only yours. It won’t stop people assuming, but we’ll know.” Sam grins and turns, kissing Cas’ lips this time, just as tenderly.
“I love them. Thank you.” He murmurs as he pulls back just enough to speak. People would still probably get confused and think Dean and Cas were together, but it wouldn’t matter. They would know. They would always know. That was enough. “Now let’s get these off so I can thank you properly.” He teased, hooking a finger in one of Cas’ beltloops and tugging lightly at his pants. The angel wastes no time complying
A week later Sam got ‘Cas’ tattooed along the curve of his hip to match.
