Scott huffed as he brought in the last bag of groceries.
“You know,” he wheezed as he dropped the heavy bag onto the kitchen counter, “just because we’re superpowered doesn’t mean I enjoy bringing in 50 full grocery bags all by myself.”
Derek leaned against the doorframe and crossed his arms, smiling impishly. “50? Really? Don’t you think you’re being a little dramatic? I counted 20. At the most.”
Scott rolled his eyes and started unpacking the bags. He pulled out two loose cantaloupes, one in each hand. “Are you going to help?”
“Hmm,” Derek responded. “Maybe I’m just enjoying the view.” He swept a languid gaze from Scott’s feet to the one unruly curl that had fallen over Scott’s forehead.
Derek left his post on the doorframe and pushed the curl back into place, taking the opportunity to run his fingers through the rest of Scott’s hair. Whatever rebuttal Scott had for Derek’s forwardness died on his lips in a soft sigh.
“Ugh. You’re terrible,” Scott whined.
“I know,” Derek smirked. “Here. Lemme help you with those.”
