context: they’ve been dating for a few months and Todoroki isn’t really sure what valentine’s day entails
and Midoriya isn’t really one for the holiday
but they figure since it’s their first one together they should do something
their date which is actually a long string of dates begins with Todoroki showing up at Midoriya’s door at one in the afternoon
with a hugeass bouquet of flowers too. we all know that boy doesn’t know the meaning of the word moderation
Midoriya is hella flustered but he got Todoroki a bunch of candy so they both end up looking like tomatoes
they get on Todoroki’s sickass motorcycle (cause you have to be 18 to drive a car in Japan) and Midoriya’s like. how did you ride this and carry flowers at the same time??
anyways they’re both so awkward and Todoroki tightens Midoriya’s helmet for him which he’s done before but it’s Valentine’s Day which for some reason makes it different??
It’s not their first date. neither of them are sure why they’re so bad at it today
cue the obligatory hands around waist head laying against back motorcycle scene
they decided to do the basic thing and watch a movie
they hold hands, and if they’re a little sweatier than usual, no one mentions it
they keep sneaking looks at each other during the movie and they make eye contact a couple times resulting in Todoroki maybe almost freezing the seat next to him
they hit up a local ice cream place after
there aren’t many people cause it’s cold so they manage to get one of the nice window seats the light is
Todoroki gets three scoops in a paper cup and Midoriya gets a milkshake. both of which they share
after they walk around the outdoor shopping streets and hold hands the whole time with Midoriya leaning into Todoroki every so often
they pick outfits for each other to try on and end up wearing the most ridiculously patterned pants and giant t shirts
the both buy a sweater in the end (they’re not matching. they’re complimentary) and it’s just a whole lot of fun for them both
their date ends with Todoroki leaving a kiss on Midoriya’s cheek and maybe they send one heart more than usual with their good night text
