Echo: So uh... This is it. I guess it's just.... here... existing...everything- just like we left it.
Eli: Uh-huh...
Echo: So I guess we just... trust it?
Eli: Well we don't have much of a choice, do we? This is home.
Echo: And uh... What if she finds us? The spellcaster that we escaped from? Eli: She'll have to find us first. She might have designed this life for us, but that doesn't mean she knows how to navigate it, yeah? Echo: Okay... Eli: And even if she did, we live far up in the hills, we'll be one step ahead. Echo: You know... It's possible that we've shared some sort of mutual delusion. I've read about this phenomenon once.
Eli: Delusion or not, who knows how long we've been away. We've got to make sure the animals are well.
hehehehehehe they loooove each other
@goodsprings I just wanted to let you know I thoroughly enjoy the Adventures of Checkers and the Grimy Mailman
15, 19, 26 for eliiiiii!!!!!!
saaaam thank you sam !!!!
15. Are they emotional? Do they feel things strongly and express it, or are they able to keep them hidden? he is unbelievably emotional, everything is in extremes with eli. he feels things deeply and strongly, but loathes even the idea of sharing his feelings. i think it's like, viscerally painful and uncomfortable for eli to talk about how he's feeling and he generally refuses to confront that and just keeps things in until it inevitably becomes too much for him to handle and he just explodes. he really has to be pushed to the extreme to be able to express his emotions.
19. How easy do they trust and mistrust? he does not trust easily or freely. he's so selfish and wrapped up in his own view of the world that he just generally assumes most people are like him and are out to use him to serve their own interests. arcade and veronica are some of the only people he really starts to trust early on into meeting them, just because he thinks they seem so earnest with him that he can't imagine them stabbing him in the back.
26. What is their biggest regret? his biggest regret will always be falling out with his brother. he doesn't remember his brother at all when he loses his memories, but i think there is this hole inside eli that he can never put a name to or ever really understand the depth of, but he knows it's intense and painful. i haven't talked about eli's brother on here much, but they left home together and started traveling the mojave when eli was about 17 and his brother really helped keep eli (mostly) grounded. after their relationship collapsed when eli was in his mid-20s, eli just started to spiral and was never the same.
sooooo eli grey
commissioned @kaseyno for self-indulgent eli/benny art and um i love them
Robin: But I need to think fast. I have just a few minutes to finish cleaning the house, so that my brother won't tell on me, and we gotta get you back soon. You and the rest of your town.
Echo: Wait... Does that mean all of our animals, and our residents, and our cottage, is all currently existing right now, in the real Henford-on-Bagley? Robin: Yes, yes. Everything I wrote in the story currently exists in the real world. And if I did the spell correctly, that will continue to be the case until I cast you all back. Okay, I have to go... I'll be back, please stay here.
Echo: Wait! I just have a quick question, sorry... um... Who were the real sims we based off of?
Echo discreetly taps Eli's elbow and points towards Robin with her eyes.
