John C. Reilly as Eli Sisters in The Sisters Brothers
Wild Spirit of Chicago
Part One
Summary: Y/N, you ran away from a horrible marriage. You hoped to hide in the West, but the Sister Brothers are on the search for you. Will they find you? Will they know why you ran away? Will they care?
You had managed to build a very small cottage and small stable for a horse you managed to acquire, in the wilds of the west. The town you were near took a good portion of the day by horse. So always made sure you were stocked up in goods.
Sure it was not as comfortable as it would have been if you would have stayed in Chicago. Though you could not stay with Alexander, that tyrant any longer. You shivered at the memory of how he would loan you out to his friends. You had thought, it was a wonderful romance, he had been so charming. He had wooed you away from that bookstore you had inherited from your father. Once it was sold, he got the money and you were his it all changed. You hoped he would never find you. Simply running across town had not been enough.
Your eyes widened as you saw a wanted poster for you at the bank. Swallowing you kept on walking to the store.
“Hi George,” you greeted the sweet old man who ran the store. “Is my order in?”
He smiled and chuckled. “It certainly is. I have a few surprises that came in on the order too, why don’t you take a peak around and see if anything else catches your eye.”
There were only a few other ladies in town, so you wondered what could catch her eye. A month ago, they had finally been introduced to the toothbrush, so you had made sure to grab an extra one. At least in Chicago, she already had been using it ever since.
You gasped, not only were there a few bottles of French Perfume but some lace as well and two new books. You grabbed a bottle, some of the lace, maybe you could use it on a table or something and one of the books. Oh how you missed books.
“You remembered that I missed my books.”
He gave you a warmer, smile, “Having a chance to see you smile was worth the order.”
You just shook your head. He had told you how you reminded him of his daughter who had died of the consumption so you knew his words came from a sad place. “Well, thank you for giving me some small joy with a book.” He had been one of the first members of the community to welcome you and bring help when your built your small cottage and stable. You paid for your items. “I will see you in three weeks.”
“You are not coming to the very humble fair?” He raised his bushy white eyebrows.
“Oh! That’s right.” You nodded. “I will see you in two weeks.” You wrapped up your items in some burl lap.
“Stay safe, Y/N.”

Charlie, down another whiskey. Commodore, smiled at him and Eli as he pour Charlie his third whiskey. “If you get her, it will be a huge, huge payday for all of us. Her husband, is some rich guy from Chicago.”
Charlie, made a face. “I’m not too keen on getting some spoiled brat from Chicago.”
Eli, held a hand up. “But we already like the money and will like that is promised.” He gave Charlie a look as if to say shut up.
“Well you two are the ones I trust with this.” He looked at Charlie, who settled and was paying attention despite looking a little annoyed. “Apparently, she got in a huff when he didn’t want to take her to New Orleans. She is feisty.”
“I better not get scratched.” Charlie said.
“With the money you are getting paid, a little scratch will do you no harm.”
Charlie shrugged.
Eli, cleared his throat. “How long do we have to find her?”
“I’d say sooner the better. But he’s paid for three months.” He looked at Charlie, with narrowed eyes, Eli joined him in that look. “Don’t drink that away.”
Charlie looked offended and rose his shoulders and hands up. “Hey, I’m not that bad.”
Eli, made a sound.
“Well, I won’t do it again.”
“Good. Now here are the two states, territories she was apparently spotted in.” He gave the papers to, Eli. “I should give this to you,” but he looked at Charlie and handed him and extra small sack with some money in it. “Here is something to sweeten the bounty more.” He exhaled. “I am trusting you Charlie.”
“I’ll be tolerable.” He chuckled and happily took the sack.
