Jahn's official profile in the official art book (Thanks Kantopia) states he dreams of rebuilding the dragon kingdom, but feels inside this dream impossible even with Idunn making War Dragons.

Given both the game and artbook state Jahn believes he can't live in a world with humans, as well as everything Jahn fought in the past, being no more, have you ever considered Jahn committed suicide by Binding Blade? I mean people have committed lost hope of living for much less than "my entire civilization is dead and all I have left to do is follow some crazy person from the enemy civilization."

At the very least, Jahn doesn't seem too torn up about dying, so it might be something to think about. Tell me your thoughts anyhow?

Thing is I'll always weep at the lack of battle convo between Jahn and Fae or even Sophia since FE6 cannot canonise Roy being Ninian's kid

As living beings proving Arcadia exists, and dragons and humans can exist together (how old is Sophia btw? Was she born before or after the Scouring?), but imo when Roy tells him Arcadia exists, Jahn thinks he's lying.

So it's not him thinking his entire civilisation is dead, but refusing to consider it might have survived, but not in the way he would have liked - if he's still in the Scouring mindset, maybe the dragon kingdom he wants to rebuild is a kingdom where only dragons live, and without any humans - when Arcadia rejects that mindset and is more or less a place where both dragons and humans live together (just don't ask me how lol).

Imo Jahn reads like a veteran from a side who "lost" the war, and refuses to move on (or cannot?) or realise that all is not "lost", and the people he fought for back then, are still alive (or their descendants) and kicking. He lost all hope, and yep, I think he wouldn't mind dying but more as in he doesn't care about anything anymore.

(which still makes me wonder why's he's still around Idunn?)

Granted, I don't have a lot of feelings about Jahn, because even if his situation post Scouring can be interesting, there's still the "we caught a chicken and mindfucked her so hard that her soul was destroyed and she became a walking "birthing mindless soldiers" machine to win the war".

I agree. That's why people freaking out about Priscilla and Raven in the Roy/Eliwood games tend to get on my nerves. They find it incest because of them being kids and wanting at the time to get married with other, but kids often wishes to do that only to grow up and chnage their mind. Priscillia wanting to marry her brother when hse was a child is like little girls that say "when I'll get to grow up, I will marry Papa! or Uncle ! Or Big brother". Out of admiration, not of Love! Like the little kids that got a crush on their teacher, it's admiration not love. This was supposed to be innocent kids nonsense, not an actual problematic thing! Once they grew up, they move on and in the case of Priscilla this promise was nothing more than that even if Intsys used it as way of making fun of the siscon trope, but ultimately does she have any way of ending up with her brother ? nope. But sadly, she doesn't get to end up with Sain either, which suck.

Admiration is a form of love though, but with within some parts of the fandom, and back then, whenever you said "love" it was only romantic love, and not the kid of positive ties some people in a family might have for each other but that isn't romantic.

We're just meant to understand Priscilla and Raymond (before being Raven!) were very close, but circumstances made it that they are now estranged, and yet, Priscilla remembers the closeness they had.

For Eliwood, idk.

But for Roy, it's explained by the general FE6 plot -

In a pure inversion of Supreme Leader ideals, Zephiel thinks humans are worthless, so they should all die and let mindless dragons rule over them.

Roy thinks humans are not completely worthless, they're able to do good things and bad things alike. FE6 argues for cooperation and coexistence between lizards and humans, but because the antagonists are on an extreme "lizard superiority" side, Roy explains that humans aren't completely worthless too and they could all live together.

Bar Niime and maybe Nergal's trashtalking, there's no one in current Elibe who argues lizards bad and they should be killed on spot (TFW they think all lizards are dead). But we have a human arguing humans bad and they should all die - because lizards and humans have to live together, Roy has to remind people that humans too, are supposed to live - else there's no coexistence to have with humans.

Supreme Leader might call Roy an ally, but after 45 seconds in each other's company they'd try to kill each other - Roy realising there's no point to try to talk to her, she's even more obtuse than Zephiel himself!

Funny how FE7 has different races like humans dragons and moprhs, but only morphs are called unnatural and abominations, and a lot of flack is given to them because they are not humans. Meanwhile, Eliwood bangs a dragon and wishes for humans and lizards to live in harmony.

Well, the only morphs we see in Elibe are hostile ones, bar Kishuna who is its own... thing.

I don’t remember anyone giving flak to a morph because they are morphs, but flak is given to Nergal because he is creating artificial lives and/or using some sort of weird necromancy thing (with the Reeds for example in the last chapter). Morphs are seen as tools by Nergal. Also, there’s always a taboo with creating artificial lives to use them as tools (compare to FE6 and Idunn’s artificially engineered War Dragons, who are not “regular” dragons like Jahn and the pals living on the other side of the gate) but when they are here? They’re not disposed of, by our heroes, because they’re defective, no, they’re killed because they oppose us.

Sonia isn’t disposed of because she is a morph, she is disposed of, in an optional chapter, because she is Sonia, because she tries to kill her daughter and is one of Nergal’s lackeys.

First impression : in FE7? Good boy and good bro who only wants to be accepted by his father and make his mother happy.

Impression now : poster child for what bad parenting does to a normal kid! More seriously, while his backstory was crappy, I still can’t understand the “humans are douches because my dad was a douche so I’ll let dragons run the show” especially since he talked to Jahn... Hell, if Zeph knew what Jahn and his pals did to Idunn, would he still believe that dragons should rule over the world because they’re better than corrupted/trashy humans?

Favorite moment : bby fox - which made me wonder, if he wanted to return the world to dragons, what has he planned for Guinivere? Murdock? Brunya? He seemed to have been fond of them, were they just going to disappear because “humans bad dragons good” or was Zephiel thinking a small elite of humans could still survive? idk.

Idea for a story : Guinivere talks to him and makes him understand that while their dad was trash, not all humans are like him, idk maybe the usual “humans are capable of the worst but also of the best”. Would he have changed his nihilistic pov? Idk. In game he doesn’t, but if Guinivere and Murdock tried to talk to him after Desmont’s death? idk.

Unpopular opinion : Honestly, I feel like he was being laughed at by Jahn, does he really think dragons are inherently better because they lack emotions? Or was he thinking that only war dragons were fit to rule, because they had no emotions and a world of emotionless beings was the best world possible? In FE7 Nergal tried to discard his emotions but it failed (he still roams around the dragon gate) and even morphs were shown to have some, so... I don’t understand Zeph’s plan, really.

Favorite relationship : whatever he had with Murdock, he seemed to have trusted him a lot, to plan on killing Desmont. Did Murdock agree on his plan to let dragons and war dragons rule over the world because they’re emotionless beings? Or was he blinded by loyalty? Idk, I wish I knew.

Favorite headcanon : Zephiel’s utterly puzzled at Fae - she is a dragon but she’s driven by her emotions, he doesn’t want to acknowledge her, because if dragons aren’t the emotionless machines like Idunn and her War Dragons are, then what prevents them from the “madness” humans displayed?
