Hey Eli...
How are you doing?
@Eli
Hey Eli, how's it going?
The Sleepover || Elam
Who:Where: The Winchester Home When: Saturday, August 30th, evening What: Eli sleeps over at Sam, and along with food and a movie, the two also have an important talk. Warnings: Underage fluff, absolute cuteness, puppylove
Sam smiled as he quickly picked up a few clothes that were lying around his room. He hadn't really tidied up lately, thanks to his Dad and Eli taking up most of his time and thoughts. But Eli was going to come over and stay the night, with both their parents permissions, so he wanted to make a good impression. He had just finished throwing a few things under his bed in a hurry when he heard the doorbell. Grinning, he sprinted down the stairs to let his friend in.
Eli stood at Sam's door with his hands in his pockets. His dad had finally got Finn, they were dating and he wanted to spend the night. Well he thought maybe if his dad could get his best friend to like him, maybe Eli could too. So as Sam opened the door Eli smiled, he was so cute, it made Eli's heart pound, why was he so nervous? "Hey uh thanks for letting me stay, my dad didnt want me to be alone".
Sam smiled at Eli, stepping aside to let him in. "No problem, dude, my mom doesn't mind, and I like having you over." He felt his heart race a little and he was sure his face was a little flushed, but surely that had nothing to do with Eli and everything to do with Sam running down the stairs. "My mom already left for her night shift, she told me 'no setting the house on fire'" he explained, doing his best impression of his mom's parent voice, stern but teasing. She couldn't't be a strict parent if her life depended on it. "You wanna grab a bite to eat?"
Eli nods and walks in, taking off his jacket and hanging it up, "your mom sounds cool. I think my dad dropped me off so he could go get laid". He laughed as he sat down at the counter in the kitchen, "you want to go out or what?" His hands were shaking, he couldn't believe he had decided to do what he decided. He raised his gaze and gave him a smile, "Im not a bad cook...if you uh wanted to stay here..".
Sam laughed gently, nodding. "Yeah, she's a cool mom without even trying. I sometimes wish she had more time for me, but, well, she wants to work, so I'm not going to make her stay at home." Shrugging lightly, Sam leaned against the counter, his arms folded. "Well, I don't know, we could just eat here. My mom has some stuff in the fridge, she usually cooks before she leaves for work in the evening, but we could just cook something ourselves, if you want? I'm fine with either." Sam gave his friend a smile that bordered on shy. He didn't even know why he felt kind of nervous around Sam.. probably just because he wanted the two of them to get along as well as they had this far. "Maybe we can cook something or heat something up, and then watch a movie?"
Eli nods, wringing his hands in his lap, turning around to look at the kitchen, he could cook. At least then he wouldn't have to worry about saying something stupid. He gets up with a grin in Sam's direction, a trademark of a Puckerman, and opens the fridge looking around before starting to grab ingredients, and starting to look through the cupboards.
Sam chuckled when he saw Sam grab some ingredients, and pushed himself away from the counter. "Alright, so, what are we cooking?" he asked, observing Eli for a moment. "And what are you lookign for? You know, I actually know where stuff is in this house." He just loved teasing Eli, a little, of course, playfully.
Eli over his shoulder, turning red. "Oh uh..like spaghetti stuff, figure most people have those ingredients, and like it so..". He shrugs and turns away from him, he needed to control this pounding heart thing before it caused a dreaming heart attack. "Noodles and um...tomato sauce...stuff like that...".
Sam grinned when he saw Eli blush a little, his friend really looked kinda cute when he did that. It made Sam tingle inside, but that was probably just the excitement from knowing Eli liked him. Maybe it wasn't nice to take so much pride in it, but it did make feel Sam great. He had never even liked anyone, and here was this cute, funny, nice, and all around awesome guy who liked him anyways. Of course he felt good about that. "Alright, let's see.." he quipped, opening the cupboard next to himself and reaching up, his shirt riding up just enough to expose a sliver of skin. "We've got noodles, and this pack of tomato-stuff... that good enough?" he asked, turning to Eli with the spaghetti and a pack of sieved tomatos.
Eli just stares at him, pulling his eyes away from his stomach and up o his face. "Yeah...yeah that's okay", he leans over and takes the things from him and starts putting things in the pot on the stove. If he could keep his distance he wouldn't do something stupid and ruin his friendship with Sam.
Sam smiled, nodding as he pulled down his shirt a little. Stepping a little closer, he leaned on the counter next to the stove, watching Eli cook. "Did you cook a lot? I mean, before you came to live with your Dad?" He asked, eager to learn more about his friend.
Eli nods, stirring the sauce and other ingredients in the pot, "yeah my mom was never home so I usually just hung out with our cook, so I picked up some tips". Having Sam there close to him made him more nervous, he could feel the heat from his body and it made Eli feel hot. He turned to look at him, smiling shyly, he was so cute. He stayed like that for what felt like forever, meaning to say something but falling short. He turns down the heat, finally breaking the weird staring contest they were having and covered the pot moving to lean against the counter beside him.
Sam thought there was something in Eli's eyes, the way he looked at him, he just couldn't put his finger on what it was. But whatever it was, it made it seem a little harder to breath, and that was a little scary. But then, Eli turned away a little, and Sam let out the air he had been holding in without realizing. Ever since he had talked to Mr. Hudson about not having any experiences with crushes or anything of that sort, he felt a little braver talking to Eli about it, but still, he was a little afraid Eli would not like him at all anymore. Still, he gathered his courage, clearing his throat before hesitatingly murmuring. "Eli, can I... can I ask you a question? Even though it might seem really, really... weird?"
Eli made sure not to look at him, cause Eli felt like he couldn't stop looking at him and that was bordering on creepy. But he nods, "yeah dude of course", wondering if Sam is going to call him out for being uber creeptastic with how he looks at him.
Sam licked his lips, his hands getting sweaty at the thought of Eli laughing about it. "Okay, so, uhm... do you think it's... like... weird, or strange, or... really, really lame, if, you know... someone our age kinda.. never had a crush on anyone before? Or, like... never really got what's so great about holding hands and stuff like that?"
Eli furrows his eyebrows, why would he think it was weird? Not everyone figures shit out like he did, maybe they just haven't had the chance? "No, I mean it's a little..I don't know..I wouldn't say weird but I ain't sure of the word. But not everyone figures stuff out as fast as others, maybe they're not into girls so they think being like other boys is weird? Like they don't get it, even if they do maybe they just need to meet the right person? Like the thought of it isn't in their head till they meet a certain person?" He laughs at himself, cause that makes probably no sense, "sorry..that probably answers nothing".
Sam thought about what Eli said, biting his lip. It did make some kind of sense, after all, Sam had sometimes thought about trying to hold Eli's hand, just to maybe know what was supposed to be so special about it. "I guess, I just... I feel stupid, you know? Like.. I probably wouldn't recognize it if I did have a crush. And whenever I ask my mom, she either tells me some bullshit like that my feet will get twice as big, or she says that I'll just know." Sighing frustrated, Sam looked up at Eli before cracking a smile. "I'll see what movie we'll put on, any requests?" he asked, trying his best to get out of this awkward situation.
Eli realized then that Sam was talking about himself, and it made him relax, so maybe Sam did like boys, he just wasn't sure about it? Maybe he's afraid of some of the same things Eli was? Sam was so far Eli's best friend, and it was only right for him to help, somehow, so he takes a breath, deciding to take baby steps instead of pressing their lips together like he wanted. So he moves just a little closer, and slides his hand inside of Sam's, giving Sam the option to hold it or well, to punch Eli in the face and kick him out.
Sam felt his breath hitch a little when Eli stepped closer, sliding their hands together. It felt a little like a static discharge, some kind of electric pulse running up Sam's arm, but in a nice way. "Okay, uhm..." he stammered, trying to put it in words. "So that's... That's not bad..." Blushing a little, he gave Eli's hand a squeeze, smiling unsure before he felt his hand getting sweaty. Quickly, he pulled it back, rubbing his neck in embarrassment. "So, uhm... Movie. What.. uh... what genre do you want?"
Eli felt like someone threw ice water on him, he glances at Sam quickly then turns back around, lifting the lid and just standing there stirring the sauce, "it doesn't matter, I'll watch anything". He's pretty sure that he made everything weird, and Sam is probably not hitting him because he already knew ahead of time Eli liked him. Eli is like some little kid, Sam probably understands he is probably not able to get the whole boundary thing. Cause most little kids don't, so he just keeps his eyes on his sauce while he stirs it then grabs the noodles pouring them in the other pot with the boiling water.
Sam watched Eli for a second, wondering if he did anything wrong. Of course he had to make everything turn awkward, god, he was such an idiot. "Alright, uhm.. I'll see what Netflix has on demand then.." he uttered before quickly heading to the living room. There, he took a deep breath, ruffling his hair a little because of his nerves before going ahead and checking what they could watch. He felt like a little kid now, Eli was so confident and knew what he wanted.. he was more experienced, and Sam felt like he was ages behind. And he was the older one, Eli probably thought he was pathetic. Which 16-year-old didn't even know what a crush felt like, after all?
Eli nods, not looking up, as he finished the food. He didn't think he could stay here all night, not when he made Sam feel so awkward, he'd eat and watch the movie then make some excuse why he couldn't stay. He put the food on the plates he found, grabbed the silverware and walked into the livingroom, trying to smile and act relaxed as he saw Sam. "Um..dinner is served man", he hands him the food, going back in to grab their drinks before sitting down, silent.
Sam turned around when Eli came in, smiling at him as he finally settled on a super hero movie. It looked awesome, judging by the pictures, so it probably would be alright. Waiting for Eli to come back with the drinks, Sam smiled at him, hating how awkward he had made the whole situation. "Well, uhm, thanks for cooking, man. I'm sure it's really good." he mumbled, before he started to movie so they would have something else to focus on except the tension in the room while they ate.
Eli only ate a few bites before he just, he wasn't hungry and the movie wasn't keeping his attention enough to not worry about how messed up he'd made everything. So finally he just sits back, putting his fork down, staring at his lap, "I'm sorry for grabbing your hand, it was stupid, I shouldn't take advantage of the fact you're my friend. It like makes me no better than my mom..so I'm..I'm sorry".
Sam looked up at his friend, surprised at his words. For a second, he could just stare, his last bite still in his mouth before he swallowed and put down his fork. "What are you even talking about, dude? Did you think it made me uncomfrotable or something?" he asked, a little confused, shaking his head slightly. "Because it didn't, Eli. I was a bit surprised, but that was it. And like I said, it wasn't bad at all." Pausing the movie for a moment, Sam focused on his friend at his side. "why would you think I wasn't okay with it?"
Eli acted like his fingers in his lap were more interesting than looking up at his friend, and he shrugs. "You didn't..I don't know..you pulled away and I'm just a stupid kid I should've just..I'm sorry". He was surprised, cause he probably didn't think Eli would do such a thing, of course he'd say it didn't make him uncomfortable, that's what you're supposed to say. "You don't have to lie to make me feel better, I won't do it again, so just..turn back on the movie..I'll uh..I'll go stay with Carole tonight..".
Sam bit his lip, embarrassed to admit the reason he had pulled back. "Dude, that... look, if anyone is a stupid kid here, that's me. I don't even know what it feels like to have a crush, you're like, way ahead of me!" he explained, blushing a little as he got ready to admit the rest. "And the only reason I pulled back was because my hands got all sweaty and I was embarrassed about that. So if anyone made things awkward, that was me. So don't leave, alright? I was looking forward to you spending the night so much..."
Eli looks up then, his hand was sweaty? So he didn't pull back in disgust? He laughed a little, feeling a little stupid then, letting a hand slid over his face, "your face right now man, you really feel that way? Like I'm ahead of you? I'm not, I'm just wired differently I guess. I think you know, you just don't know what it means maybe?" He sits up, his face close to Sam's, smiling a little, "what's..your first instinct right now..don't think..just..do it".
Sam felt even more embarrassed when Eli laughed, and he folded his arms over his chest because he felt so stupid. "Don't laugh at me.." he groaned, looking over at Eli just in time to see him sit up and lean closer. His breath hitched for a moment, and there were a thousand things going through his mind at the same time. It took him a moment to catch himself, but then he swatted at Eli's shoulder ever so lightly, pouting a little. "Don't make fun of me, you jerk... let's just watch the movie and eat, I'm hungry." to lessen the bite of his words, Sam nudged Eli's shoulder with his, shooting him a quick smile before pressing play. He was sitting a little closer to Eli now, but he tried not to think about that as his face turned red.
Eli frowned, when Sam turned away, sighing and sitting back, feeling even more stupid than Sam could ever imagine. He crosses his arms over his chest, keeping his attention on the movie, and trying to keep some distance between the two of them. "I wasn't laughing at you, or making fun of you", he says quietly, not turning to look at Sam, just keeping his eyes on the screen and his arms folded. He wasn't going to get near him or touch him again, he wasn't going to be his mother, he'd never push himself on someone, he really needed to back off.
Sam bit his lip, sighing softly when he heard Eli speak softly next to him. This was such an awkward situation, and all just because Sam was a little coward who didn't even understand a simple thing like a crush. He quickly finished his portion, putting the plate down before sitting back, casting a glance at Eli. How was he supposed to sneakily take his hand when Eli kept his arms folded like that? He quickly decided to gently poke at his arm, shooting him a small smile before turning to the movie again, his hand halfway between him and Eli. Hopefully, that would be enough to signal Eli that he wasn't opposed to holding his hand again. Sam wasn't even sure what that meant, that he wanted that, but it made him feel all tingly and hot and a little dizzy so it couldn't be bad.
Eli didn't move, he just glanced at Sam before turning to look at the screen, he was probably trying to get him to smile, but he just wasn't in the mood. With a sigh he picks up his plate, barely eaten, and Sam's, "don't pause it I'll just put these in the dishwasher, I'll be back". Anything to keep him from doing something even creepier, like putting his arm around Sam or something.
Sam sat up when Eli got up, quickly jumping to his feet and taking the plate. "No, dude, you're our guest and you already cooked. Let me put them away, alright?" He couldn't very well let Eli do all the work when he was supposed to just relax and hang out. "Don't go anywhere!" with that, he disappeared into the kitchen, where the first thing he did was take a deep breath. He was so tense while he sat next to Eli, it was difficult to just breathe normally. Sam wondered for a moment why that was, and steeled himself for returning to the awkward situation before he turned to return to the living room
Eli wiped his face quickly when he heard Sam's footsteps back towards the room. Eli wasn't sure if it was how tired he felt, or just not understanding how he could've done something as stupid as holding his hand. His arms were crossed back over his chest, he needed to keep his hands pinned so they wouldn't do something stupid again.
Sam hesitated a little before sitting back down, closer to Eli than before. He didn't know how he could make this whole thing less awkward, after all it was all his fault for being so insecure about not having a clue about crushes and the likes. Maybe Sam just needed to act more confident? So just like he had seen in movies before, he yawned a little, stretching his arms above his head before letting the one closer to Eli sink down on the backrest. He practically had his arm around Eli now. And it was only now that Sam realized that this could make things a lot worse, but, oh well.. it was too late now.
Eli was about to ask him if he just wanted to go to bed when he realized what Sam was doing and he paused the movie, sitting up. "Uh..what's that about? You obviously know I won't care or whatever, but..it's kinda cruel to do shit like that when you don't...", he trails off standing up shaking his head. His eyes burned, fuck he had to find the bathroom, turning to walk down the hall, "I'll be back...think twice about playing with someone's feelings before I get back". He slammed the bathroom door behind him, he wasn't going to let this happen again.
Sam froze when Eli accused him of being cruel, how did he get that idea now? "Hey, what... I wasn't... Eli!" he tried to object, but Eli was already stalking off towards the bathroom. Groaning frustrated, Sam burried his head in his hands, trying to calm the storm inside himself while giving Eli some time to do the same before he got up and followed Eli to the bathroom. Sam knocked softly on the door, his voice small as he asked "Eli? Come out please? I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you..."
Eli let himself calm down, splashing water on his face and taking a few deep breaths before opening the door. "You didn't hurt me, at least not yet", he mumbles pushing past him and going into the kitchen, getting his stuff, "this was a mistake". He shouldn't try to be friends with someone he couldn't keep his hands to himself with. Someone he barely knew, he'd known Logan for a long time when he "experimented" with Eli last year. He'd thought they were friends, that Logan like guys like Eli did too, but he didn't, or at least when confronted with it he said he didn't. Their friendship didn't survive that, he should've known better, "I'm sorry I blew up at you, it's my fault. I like you sure, but I shouldn't expect you to like me back just because I like you. I shouldn't..I shouldn't want to hold your hand..or...or kiss you..or anything like that because you're just my friend..and I'm sorry..I'm so sorry", he says, his voice growing soft towards the end.
Sam was leaning against the wall when Eli left the bathroom, and before he could try to take Eli's hand, he was already past him and on his way to the kitchen. The older boy followed his friend, his jaw clenched at the words he heard. "Look, like I told you, I have no clue what or who I like, and I have even less of a clue about what I'm doing." he explained softly, stepping closer. He needed to confess now, or else their friendship might be lost forever, but damn, that was difficult. "I mean, just thinking about asking you if I could try holding your hand again sounded stupid, and I couldn't just take it with you keeping your arms crossed and not budging even though I poked you and let my hand lie there between us, and then I remembered that stuff working in movies so I just though... well, I thought it might be a good idea, but apparently it wasn't..." He lifted his hand, planning on letting it trail down Eli's arm, but with how successful his moves had been this far, he reconsidered and let his hand fall to his side again. "Just... stay, please?" he mumbled, his face flushed.
Eli put his bag down as Sam talked and god, he felt so stupid. He hangs his head, lifting his eyes and takes a deep breath, stepping forward to take Sam's hand. "We can...figure this out..slowly right? Be honest and not be afraid of sounding stupid? I'm sorry about what I said..I liked holding your hand and..your arm there..I just thought you were..experimenting".
Sam felt his breath hitch as Eli took his hand again, just like before they ate, they were even in almost the same spot. He nodded at Sam's requests, shrugging a little at the last point. "Yeah, well, technically, I am, you know, experimenting... like I said... completely clueless. I never wanted to try these things with anyone else before, though, so.. that gotta count for something, right?" Unsure, he looked at their joint hands, holding on a little tighter. "So, uh... what does it feel like? You know... having a crush?"
Eli nods, there was a difference between Logan and Sam, even if Eli didnt know what it was. He pulls him to the livingroom, sitting down and not letting go, guiding him down to the couch with him. "Uh..I don't really know..butterflies...you get that feeling a lot and being nervous. Like you want to talk to them, like more than anyone else..you like how they look, and wanna be near them..touch them I guess...". He trails off and ducks his head turning red, "I really don't know".
Sam followed Eli, glad the other boy didn't pull back his hand. It felt nice to hold on to each other, and as soon as they sat, Sam laced his fingers between Eli's. "See, that's another thing I don't get. Butterflies. What does that even mean? I mean, is it like, do you feel them crawling on your skin, do you see butterflies, what's up with that?" slightly frustrated with himself, Sam sighed, biting his lip. "You have a better idea of it than I do... maybe... uhm... if you don't mind, of course.. maybe you can just.. tell me what it feels like... you know... with me?" Oh god, hopefully that wasn't the wrong thing to say.
Eli grins at him, "nah just like your stomach feels weird..like it flips or something...like mine feels like the moment over the hill on a roller coaster? When I uh...when I see you smile...mine does that". Staring down at their hands he smiles, "I like touching you, I just..I like it when you smile and you make me smile if I think about you..even if I don't wanna smile".
Sam listend carefully, biting his lip when he recognized the description. Like on a rollercoaster.. he felt like that a lot whenever he was around Eli. "So... that means I'm gay?" he asked, a little stunned at the revelation that he had indeed had a few crushes before that he just never knew had been those. But the description fit, he felt nervous around Eli, even though they were such good friends, and he wanted to spend more time with him than anyone else (except maybe his father at the moment) and he certainly liked holding Eli's hand. "It's... it's kind of like.. when your parents tell you that they have a surprise for you, and you're equally excited because it could be something amazing and nervous because who knows what your parents think is amazing... right?" he asked, too nervous to look at Eli.
Eli laughs, smiling at him, "yeah and I don't know about being gay. You could be like bisexual or there's lots of other things..you have time to figure it out". He leans over and kisses his cheek, "you're cute when you're confused".
Sam blushed when he felt Eli kiss his cheek, smirking a little. "Yeah, well, now that I know what a crush actually feels like, I know I had a few... and, uhm... yeah, I'm not interested in girls... pretty sure that makes me gay.." he mumbled, grabbing the remote to continue with the movie. He looked over at Eli, nervous about what he was about to propose. "So, uhm.. can I... you know.. is it okay if..." he just wanted to hold Eli in his arm, but he was shy about asking for it.
Eli raises an eyebrow at him, smiling as he started stuttering over his words, "do what? Short of taking off my clothes I'm cool with anything".
Sam blushed furiously at that, shaking his head. "I... I didn't... that's not..." he quickly shut up before he embarrassed himself any further and simply let go of Eli's hand, only to put the arm over his shoulder. His other hand found Eli's abandoned hand instead, giving it a little squeeze. "So.. this is okay?" he asked, worried he was once again somehow making Eli angry or worse, hurt him.
Eli nods, smiling at his blushing, "it's perfect and don't worry I won't take off my clothes..ya know unless you wanted me to".
Sam nods at Eli's words, licking his lips. "Uh.. I don't think I'm ready for that yet..." he admitted, giving him a small grin before focussing on the movie that was still playing, trying his best to not let things get awkward, but he barely noticed anything about the movie. After all, his heart was beating a mile a minute because of the boy in his arm, and that made it hard to think about anything else.
Eli rubs Sam's hand with his thumb, "relax Sam, I'm not ready for that either...in fact I've never been kissed so uh...it's okay to be nervous...I'm nervous too".
Sam smiled a little, nodding quickly. "Yeah, uhm, okay... me neither.. but we'll just... see what happens, right?" he mumbled, pulling Eli a little closer. "Maybe, if you want... you can, like... lean your head against my shoulder? Just if you'd like that, though, I mean...."
Eli smiles at him, "yeah..I'd like that..". He moves to lean against him, laying his head on his shoulder, "slow we have time..we're young". He squeezes his hand, brining it up and kisses his knuckles, "I like spending time with you like this..".
Sam smiled happily, leaning his cheek against Eli's head like he had done that one night when he had spent the night at Eli's by accident. "Yeah, I know... and... me too." he mumbled before falling into a comfortable silence as they watched the movie. when it was over, he stayed like that for a moment, relishing the peace and quiet before he cleared his throat. "So, uhm... are you tired?"
Eli hadnt been sleeping well, between the nightmares and the start of school he wasnt sleeping at all. So by the time the movie was off, he was out. Arm across Sam's stomach, head on his shoulder, out cold.
Sam turned his head a little when he didn't get an answer, smiling gently when he saw his friend asleep on his shoulder. He looked so cute, Sam lifted his hand to brush his hair from his forehead. God, he kind of wanted to kiss Eli right now, but not when he was asleep, he couldn't do that. Instead, he pressed his lips to his forehead ever so lightly before shifting a little to pick Eli up bridal-style. He couldn't let him sleep on the sofa when he had a perfectly fine bed upstairs, after all, and if they stayed like that, sitting up, they'd be stiff the next day. So he did his best not to wake Eli as he carried him up the stairs and to his bedroom.
Eli stirred a little at first, but settled against him in his arms. He wasnt a light sleeper, and not much would wake him up. By the time they got to Sam's room though his eyes fluttered open, smiling up at his friend, "hey..".
Sam chuckled when Eli woke up, shaking his head. "Oh, of course, now you wake up, after I hauled you up the stairs.." he teased, shooting Eli a grin. Eli wasn't that heavy, after all, so carrying him up hadn't been that big of a deal. Sam set Eli down on the bed, before walking to his dresser. "Uhm, your stuff is downstairs, so do you just wanna borrow something to sleep in from me?" To be honest, the thought of Eli wearing Sam's clothes was a little exciting, so Sam really hoped he'd say yes.
Eli rubbed at his eyes as Sam teased him, not yet fully awake to realize he'd been carried. He kinda stared at him for a second, clothes? Right he had to change for bed, so he just stands, a little unsteady and pulls his shirt off, then sheds his pants, standing there in his boxers and only half awake. "I'm cold", he says quietly crossing his arms over his chest looking for his bag, "my bag...you got clothes?"
Sam turned around when he heard Eli was cold, immediately turning back around. He hadn't expected to see his best friend half-naked. "Uh.. yeah, hold on a second.." he mumbled, quickly grabbing one of the shirts he slept in and handing it to Eli without looking at him. An inappropriate boner would be the last thing he needed right now. "Just put this on and get in the bed, I'll just... check if the door are locked and all.." he mumbled, grabbing his own shirt and leaving the room. He'd need a moment to calm down and change, far away from Eli and any thoughts of getting naked together.
Eli stood there confused had he done something wrong? Pulling his shirt on he sat down heavily on the bed, putting his head in his hands, why did he feel like crying? It had to be how tired he was, cause he also wanted to laugh, god he was cracking up already? Then it dawned on him and he felt stupid, but smiled cause Sam liked him half naked. He looks up when he comes back in the room, standing up and walking to him, pulling him into a hug, "sorry", he mumbles sleepily.
Sam was surprised by the hug, but didn't hesitate to wrap his arms around his friend, holding him close. "What are you sorry for, Eli?" he whispered, rubbing his back gently as he pulled back just enough to lead Eli towards the bed. "You're like a tired puppy right now, do you know that?" he smiled, gently ruffling his hair before just carding his hands through it.
Eli was confused, but he mumbles something about being naked and boners and follows Sam to the bed, moaning when his hands go in his hair. The moan wasnt a sexual one, just pleasure cause he was like a puppy, he loved to be petted. He crawls under the covers, wrapping himself around Sam the moment he touched him, "night", he says against his shoulder.
Sam wasn't sure what Eli was trying to say, but he knew that Eli was more asleep than awake, so he helped him get in the bed and quickly joined him. He chuckled when Eli just cuddled up to him, murmuring into his shoulder. "You're really cute when you're half asleep.." he whispered, wrapping his arm around Eli and holding him close as he drifted off to sleep.

My Dad showed up... he didn't even recognize me. Nothing. He didn't even believe me that I was his son, acting like he had no idea I even existed....

Sam: Hey, heard you're holed up in your room. Want me to come over and play videogames with you?
First Meetings and Revelations || Elam
Who: Eli Puckerman and Sam Winchester
Where: the streets of Finn's and Sam's neighbourhood When: August 15th, afternoon
What: Eli and Sam meet for the first time
Warnings: Underage Cuteness
Sam had just paid his favorite teacher a quick visit, and was just about to head home before his mother ended her shift. Leaving Mr. Hudson's house, he had originally planned to just walk to his bike that was leaning against Mr. Hudson's fence when he noticed the other boy walking up to the house. The other teen seemed to be a little younger then Sam, but not by much, he was a little more baby-faced. Standinng on the path leading to the house, Sam tilted his head and just observed the approaching boy. He had seen him around the neighborhood a few times, maybe, but the face wasn't familiar enough for him to have been around for very long.
Eli was bored at home, and avoiding his dad and his threats of "a talk" about the whole liking boys thing. He didn't figure there was much to talk about, he figured his dad liked Finn but wouldn't tell him so, until he admitted it, Eli wouldn't either. He had his hands in his pockets walking over to Finn's place, he had a feeling Finn wasn't much on being alone. Eli didn't like it either, though he grew up mostly on his own, he hated it. He was about to step onto the sidewalk when something caught his eye, or someone did. He looked a little older than him, and not really familiar, but he was around Finn's house, so he had to know him right? "Um..do you know Finn?"
Sam squinted a little as the boy stopped before him, hands burried in his pockets. He then righted his head a little, giving the other guy a smile. Might as well be nice to the new kid, right? Especially because he had pretty eyes. "Mr. Hudson? Yeah, I was in his music class and I'm gonna be in his glee club this year... why? How do you know Mr. Hudson? You weren't at my school last year.."Sam knew everyone, if not personally, then at least their name and face. He was good with that sort of thing.
Eli nods, and laughs a little, "yeah sounds weird to call him that, then I remember I gotta this year, I'm in his class". He scratched the back of his neck, turning to look at the house then back at this other boy, "uh he's my uncle, well not like real uncle but he and my dad are best friends so", he shrugged. This other boy was rather cute, and Eli knew better than to act like he thought so, and he shook his head at his question that wasn't a question, "I just moved here a few months ago, my uh..my dad got custody after my mom died".
Sam grinned a little when the other guy rambled a bit about his dad and Mr. Hudson being best friends, which faded again when the other told him that his mother was dead and that was the reason he was here now. "Dude, sorry to hear that... I know how it is with only one parent, my mom's all I have... so, you're Mr. Puckerman's son, huh? I heard my mom talk about that to one of her friends. I'm Sam, by the way. What's your name?"
Eli raises an eyebrow, there were people talking about his dad, then his eyes narrowed, "what is they're saying?" He knows the shit his dad hears upsets him, and he acts like it's no big deal but it is. It hurts him, and Eli wasn't about to let anyone say crap about his dad anymore. "Don't be sorry, she was a horrible person", he mumbled, running a hand through his hair, "well hi Sam, I'm Eli".
Sam shrugged nonchalantly, smiling again. "Not much, just heard her tell her friend that Mr. Puckerman apparently has a kid about my age, and how sorry they are for you to have lost your mom at that age.. Something about your family being unlucky that way, after Sarah... Anyway, don't worry, my mom can be weird, but she's not one to talk behind people's back." Seizing Eli with his eyes for a moment, Sam pondered for a moment before a grin formed on his lips. "Say, Eli, are you hellbent on visting your uncle? Or do you wanna explore the neighborhood with me for a bit? I could show you around, let you in on a few of my secret places in the area..."
Eli felt like someone punched him, Sarah, who in the hell was Sarah and what happened to her? His face kinda fell, just staring at this kid that knew more about his family than he did. He wasn't unlucky his mom died, that was probably the luckiest thing to happen to him, he found his dad. He just nods, looking down at his feet, feeling kinda lost and angry at his dad and Finn, lifted his head at the sound of his voice. He looked at the house and shrugged, "it's the only other place beside my dad's house and Finn's parents I go".
Sam shook his head, walking to his bike and on his way there, gently took Eli's forearm to tug him along. He would have taken his hand, but that kind of seemed too much for now, so he settled for his arm. "Come on, you're living here now, you might as well know where shit is. But I'll let you choose, I could push my bike, or you could hitch a ride on my bike."
Eli didn't notice the bike until Sam said something about it and he grinned, his first smile that whole day, "that's yours?" He looked almost old enough to drive, but maybe he wasn't as old as he thought. Eli did tend to think guys were older, and more importantly not interested in someone like him. Sam grabs his arm and his head shoots up to stare at him, and he turns red and shrugs, "I don't..care to ride".
Sam grinned proudly at Eli and nodded. "Yeah, it's mine. My dad bought it for me, technically, because I'm the only one mom uses his alimony on. I use it to visit my mom at the hospital, or to just ride around the neighborhood... or annoy your dad. I like watching him work, but he always tells me to find something else to do." He then shrugged, letting go of Eli to pick up his bike. "Look, either you get on the saddle so I can paddle standing up, or I'll just push. We won't be as fast that way though..." Looking at Eli espectantly, Sam still had a smile on his face
Eli Wasnt sure who this kid was, or why he watched his dad work, Eli didnt even visit his dad often. It wasnt that he didnt want to, it seemed to bother his dad so he didnt. "My dad doesn't like me there, he didnt know about me till my mom died so he's still new to all this stuff". He thinks for a minute and decides to sit, letting Sam peddle, and he may get a view of his butt, well maybe that is what fueled him. "You smile at everyone like that?"
Sam shrugged again, flashing a grin at Eli. "Yeah, well, I do stay out of the way, but I just like to watch people do stuff with their hands. I can't watch my mom work, all her work I'm allowed to watch her do is boring paperwork..." Sam swung his leg over the bar in the middle and was about to start their ride when he was surprised by Eli's question. Turning to grin widely at him, he shook his head. "Nope. Only the cool people. Now hold on, I wouldn't want you to fall off, your dad would probably kill me. As would my mom." With that, he started pedalling, embarking them on their journey through the neighborhood.
Eli smiles to himself as they take off, liking his view and the possibility that he actually made a friend. "Who's Sarah?" The comment kept eating at him, and Sam may know the answer to some of his biggest questions, maybe. "No one had ever said that name, so I'm just..ya know, wondering".
Sam turned his head as he spoke to Eli, keeping one eye on the road and the other on his new friend. "Oh, she was your dad's sister." he explained, his smile turning a little sad. "I was around six or seven when she died, I played with her sometimes when I visited my mom. She was really nice, as far as I remember."
Eli frowns, "stop...stop the bike please".
Sam immediately stopped the bike, turning around to look worriedly at Eli. "Are you alright?"
Eli narrowed his eyes, climbing off the bike, "no, no I'm not". Something this big, no one thought to tell him? He didn't want to hear their excuses, he didnt know her, his dad did. Whatever she meant to him was enough to make him do the one thing Finn said he didn't want. He stayed in Lima, "why couldn't they tell me? I'm not a baby!"
Sam frowned before he let his bike go, grasping Eli's shoulder gently. "Hey, don't be pissed at your dad, alright? I bet he didn't want to talk about it, and that's why he didn't tell you. My mom told me that he took it hard when she died, so he's probably not ready to talk about it yet."
Eli looks up at him, "I'm not mad at him, I'm mad that Finn told me I had to let my dad tell me. He may never be ready, so what I walk around not knowing this huge secret and everyone around me knows!?"
Sam sighed, shaking his head. "Mr. Hudson and your dad are best friends, right? I think that's some kind of bro-kodex or something, not telling others when you know your best friend is dealing with something... I'm sure he thought that maybe you'd try to talk to your dad, or that you'd treat him differently and he'd know Mr. Hudson blabbed.... not sure Mr. Hudson won't be mad that I told you, but, oh well, someone had to tell you, right?
Eli sighed and sat down in the grass where he stood, head in his hands, "I just wanna get to know my dad, that's all. I love him, and I don't want to love someone I don't know. You're supposed to love your kids no matter what right? The good and the bad, so isn't that the same with your parents? I mean there's a line ya know, the shit my mom did, my grandpa walking out on my dad, that shit ain't kosher, but not knowing something that changed him so much". He shakes his head and looks up, "my dad was my age when I was born..MY age, I just feel like he's my father and not my dad, that because of that he'll never BE my dad". He had no idea why he was just spilling his guts, but the guy was his age, and he at least KNEW his dad, and he wasn't biased or loyal to Noah like Finn was.
Sam sighed and watched Eli spill everything on his mind, before he sat down next to Eli and gently rubbed his shoulder to comfort him. He didn't know if that would work, but he had to at least try. "Look, just because your dad was your age when you were born doesn't mean he can't be a real dad to you. I don't feel like my dad is more than just my father, but that's because I never see him anymore, I only get his money. I still love him, but he's not really my dad in that sense. And in some way it's the same with you and your dad. You have... what, 14, 15 years to catch up? That doesn't happen in a few weeks, you know?" Smiling gently, he wrapped his arm around Eli's shoulder to squeeze him a little. "And don't be mad at Mr. Hudson, he probably just wanted to look out for you and your dad."
Eli sighs again, shrugging, "he didn't want some teenage kid, he gave away another kid he had a couple years after me, you'd think I'd get the picture. He could've sent me away, and I'll never understand why he didn't, he's 28, and is finally on his feet for me to knock him back down". He runs his hands through his hair and sits up a little, "sorry to just unload on you, but I haven't really had anyone to talk to..that doesn't treat me like a five year old".
Sam smiled and shook his head. "Hey now, he didn't send you away and that's all that matters. You'll have to ask him for the reason, and don't let him just brush it off. Maybe he regretted giving up that other kid, maybe he didn't want to be a dead-beat, or maybe he was just ready to tackle this... Only he knows, so ask him." Squeezing Eli's shoulder again, Sam grinned. "No need to apologize, Eli, everyone needs to vent sometimes. I hate the way grown-ups always think just because we're not 18 yet, our feelings or thoughts don't really matter. Look, I'll give you my phone number, so whenever you feel like you need to talk to someone, just give me a call, and I'll, I don't know... come by and whisk you away on my bike, or something." he giggled slightly, nudging Eli in the side. "Sound good?"
Eli smiled and ducked his head, his face turning red, he really wished he knew where he got the massive easy blushing thing from. He's pretty sure it wasn't his dad, that man didn't blush for anything. He nods, pulling out his phone to hand over the other boy, "sure yeah here, that sounds pretty good actually. You know..having someone to talk to that is..not being whisked away with you..I mean just..nevermind I'm sounding like a giant idiot".
Sam chuckled and quickly typed in his number, hesitating a moment before he put his last name, too. He figured that if Eli opened up to him like that, the least he could do was share that little piece of himself with the other boy. "Haha, that was just an example, you doofus.." he teased, affection clear in his voice. "Or is my bike not fancy enough? Should I wait to get a car before I try to whisk you away?" He didn't know why he was saying those stupid things, but it was fun to see how Eli would react.
Eli swallowed shaking his head, "your bike is fine..though I wouldn't say no to being whisked away in a car though". He takes his phone back and is about to say something about one day having his own bike when he sees Sam's name. "Winchester? That's seriously your name, was your mom obsessed with the show or is it just a coincidence?" He liked the show, and he also like the guy that played Sam on the show, so it wouldn't be too hard for him to crush on /this/ Sam too..if he wasn't already. A nice older boy who wasn't treating him like a kid, or like he had the plague, it was pretty awesome. "It's cool, I liked the show, Sam was my favorite", he said quietly putting his phone back in his pocket.
Sam blushed a little when Eli stopped for a second when he saw the name. "Yeah... my mom is kind of a prankster at times. My Dad's name is Dean, I'm not even kidding, and she loved the show, so she found it funny to name me Sam. Can you guess my middle name?" The middle name was the worst part about it, well, if anyone knew his middle name, but noone at school did, so it was fine there. Grinning a little at the quiet admission, Sam straightened his back a little. "Yeah, well, Sam was the best."
Eli laughed, raising an eyebrow thinking, "well if she's going with the main characters..I'd have to say either Robert or...Castiel". He didn't care which one it was, cause he liked them all. But he laid back on the grass looking up at the sky, "I'm named after my dad, which is weird if you think about it, considering my mom's husband was still married to her at the time".
Sam laughed, nodding. "Yep, Castiel.... my full name is Sam Castiel Winchester. My mom thinks it's a riot." Watching Eli relaxing in the grass, Sam felt a little knot in his stomach. He just wanted to stretch out next to him and take his hand, which was a completely new experience for the teenager. Blushing a little at the thought, he leaned back, propping himself up on his arms behind him while he looked up at the sky very much like Eli did. "It is pretty weird, yeah. Maybe she didn't think that far, or maybe her husband had a good friend who was named Eli?"
Eli laughed a little, poor guy but at least he had an awesome name, "at least you have a cool story for your name, instead of 'my mom named me after a man she never told me about, that I didn't know existed until she died'. I think parents are just weird in general, probably their parents' fault you know". He wished Sam would lay beside him, but he was about as bad talking to guys as he was figuring out his gaydar or whatever it was. "Elijah, and he knew my dad, he was our pool boy for a few months", he told him quietly.
Sam bit his lip a little, finally deciding to just go for it and laid back into the grass, sighing a little. "Hmm... maybe she slept with your dad to spite her husband? And then named you after him to rub it in? I dunno, and I guess we never will... but we're stuck with our names anyway, so it doesn't really matter why they are our names." Smiling over at Eli, Sam shrugged. "And I like the name Elijah."
Eli smiled up at the sky then rolled his head to the side to look at him, "I guess you're right, and I hope she didn't sleep with him for that, my dad was only fourteen". He blushes again at the compliment, rolling his eyes at himself, he really needed to get ahold of himself. "I don't mind it, it's better than my middle name".
Sam looked at Eli, raising his eyebrows at that. "Wow... I mean, I knew your Dad looked kind of young to be your father, but fourteen? That makes him.... 29? 30?" Sam wasn't sure how old Eli was exactly, but he figured he was about his own age. And added 9 months to his Dad's age, that should be about right. And then his curiosity peaked, and he rolled onto his side to properly look at Eli. He was a little closer now, leaning on his lower arm. "Alright, what's your middle name? And don't you dare chicken out after making me curious, I told you mine, too!"
Eli nods, "he's twenty eight or nine I'm not sure, but I'm fourteen almost fifteen, so". He shrugs and doesn't say muh else, he doesn't know much else, his dad doesn't talk about it. He looks up at the other boy, he was so cute and Eli wanted to tell him so, but he couldn't. "You volunteered that! I would've never asked! I'll give you a hint it's Jewish and its old".
Sam groaned a little, shaking his head. "But I don't know any jewish names! Except Noah and David and Isaac and Abraham. It's not Abraham, is it? Because that's the only jewish name I know that's not that common these days.."
Eli chuckled cause he figured the guy wouldn't know any. But he did tell him something pretty damn embarrassing about him. He gives him a smile, "Malachi", he says quietly, "her husband was baptist...you'd think she'd keep me on the downlow. Nope it was like she knew he'd know one day or maybe..guilt?"
Sam raised his eyebrows at that name, surpressing a chuckle. "Really? Malachi? Wow, that really is an unusual name... and yeah, Elijah is way better." Rolling onto his stomach, lying directly next to Eli now, Sam turned his head to him, smiling. "You know I could lie here like this all day..." and then he remembered the reason he had left Mr. Hudson's home, and quickly sat up. "Damn, my mom's gonna be home from her shift soon.. Come on, I'll take you home."
Eli is about to say the same thing, how much he enjoyed having someone to talk to, and maybe stare at. But he jerks up, and Eli is a little disappointed but he still smiles at him cause he's cute. "Just take me back to Finn's, my dad is at work so", he shrugs getting up and holding out a hand for Sam.
Sam nodded, taking Eli's hand when he offered to help him up. Grinning at him, he quickly ruffled Eli's hair a little - he just couldn't help himself, Eli was too cute - before he picked up the bike and swung his leg over the middle rod. "Hop on, Eli!" he chuckled, waving Eli over. "Sorry for not having a rack yet, by the way, I'll ask my mom for one, so you'll have your own saddle."
Eli raises an eyebrow, great he was treating him like a little brother. He knew he'd not see him that way, he was probably straight anyway. He hops on the bike and looks at him, "what's a rack?"
Sam didn't know about Eli's sorrow, how could he? He just started pedalling when Eli was seated and held on, turning his head slightly at his question. "Oh, uhm, you know, that thing on the back of bikes that you can carry stuff around on? A luggage carrier? There are saddles for them, to take a second person on your bike."
Eli nods, "oh...yeah right". Truth was he didn't, he didnt know much about bikes or cars even, just that he really wanted one. He didnt have much growing up, he only had what he needed, or what would make him shut up or go away. So he had a lot of video games, and stayed in his room a good bit of the time. "How long you had your bike?"
Sam smiled, shrugging. "I got it for my last birthday, so about a year? I had a growthspurt so my old bike was too small, and my mom bought it from the money my dad sent for my birthday." Turning his head to look at Eli, he smiled apologetically. "I'd offer you my old bike, but my mom already gave it away.. sorry."
Eli shakes his head, "nah dude, it's cool I mean I'll get one I mean I had one before but I never rode it cause I really never left my room or my house so". He shrugs and holds on, quiet on the ride back to Finn's.
Sam nodded, relieved. "Ah, alright. Well, I hope you don't plan to hole up in your room anymore, because I plan on taking you around the neighborhood a lot. Maybe I can come over to your place, or you can come to mine, sometime." Stopping before Finn's house, Sam turned around, smiling at Eli. "Well, this is you, I guess...." he was a little sad that their time was cut short like that, but, it couldn't be helped, his mother would be home too soon. "Remember, if you need to talk, just call or text or whatever, alright?"
Eli gets off the bike, staring down at his feet for a second before looking back up at him, nodding, "yeah I'd uh like that. I will man, just get home before you get in trouble". He turns towards Finn's house, seeing the man walking out the front door staring at him, "dad probably called or something, I better go..um..see you later Sam".
Sam had planned on hugging Eli goodbye, but then Finn came out and Sam just waved at his old teacher, shooting him a grin. "Yeah, uhm.. see you later..." he quickly answered, smiling at Eli before he shouted "Goodbye, Mr. Hudson" and started towards his home, not without looking over his shoulder to catch another glimpse of his new friend.
