Elio Pace may not be a household name however he's spent teh past couple of decades touring as musical director and session musician with the likes of Huey Lewis, Shakin' Stevens, Martha Reeves and Ronan Keeting!! amongst others.
Elio first began to make a name for himself when he reached the final of Boy Says Opportunity Knocks at the age of twenty, he won his heat with his own composition and went on to perform it on prime time television in front of more than fourteen million viewers. He then signed up with a top notch showbiz agency and performed as support for the likes of Les Dawson, Micheal Barrymore, and Ronnie Corbett (requested personally by Ronnie). But eventually the desire to write and perform his own songs took hold and now Elio after twenty-one years has decided to release that song he performed on Opportunity Knocks all those years ago as a taster for his new album Take A Seat At My Table.
Well is the single worth the wait? I hear you cry, well in a couple of words hell yeah. Take You Home is a brilliantly infectious swing number complete with contagious funky horns, catchy vocals, tasty harmonies and addictive tinkling rock n roll piano.
Elio has a wonderfully smooth vocal delivery and is ably backed by both his band and backing singers, together they create a sensational rocking swing hybrid that's fun, fruity and just perfect for twirling your partner round the living room floor to.
If you live by the mantra "it don't mean a thing, if it ain't got that swing" Elio Pace might just be the man to provide the perfect soundtrack to those swinging parties of yours.
