gráficas para apoyar las movilizaciones en Chile (Santiago, Octubre 2019) graphics made to support the movilizations in Chile (Santiago, October 2019) these past days, my country, my loved country, has gone through a social outbreak triggered by the rise in the bus fare, but that was just the tip of an iceberg of ineaquilities that were happening since 30 years ago, maybe more. the discontent was declared (because it has been there for a long period, as i have told) and manifestations started to happen, getting stronger and convocating more and more people as days passed. the situation has become really delicate because it has envolved many things, for some it has meant reviving old wounds (Chile has a history with dictatorship, that involved killings, people missing -some that are STILL missing-, social division, torture, etc) and this situation, the way it has developed (military was sent out to the streets to “control” the situation) has produced that many things that happened in the past, are happening again. So, you see, it is a REALLY COMPLICATED MOMENT. we are trying to make things work again BUT! conscious that there are changes that need to be made, because, the manifestations are for real reasons. people that are older and the ones in the government dont see it because, they are too used to what we already have but mostly because changing things involves messing up with there ineterests -economicaly speaking- and that hurts them like nothing else.

so yup. sorry if my way of describing things is too erratic, but emotions are very tense these days.

Hoy (25 de noviembre) se conmemora el asesinato de 3 mujeres (hermanas Mirabal) durante la dictadura de Trujillo en República Dominicana en 1960, y se establece posteriormente aquel día como el día Internacional de la Eliminación de la Violencia contra La Mujer. Para que nunca más, ninguna mujer sea asesinada por razón de aquello. Por todas las que estamos, las que estuvieron y no pueden estar hoy, y las que estarán.
