Winter’s first snow

Winter’s first snow,

the warmest snow of the year,

small children throw snowballs,

watch the frost appear.

The roads are getting bad,

it’s hard to see,

winter can be sad,

but for me it is free.

~ If Love be Light ~ If love be light, My love be all the stars A Billion suns blazing in awe of you The one that sprung winter from my cold heart And love's falsehoods from a mind void of truth Now, those fading lies are like garden weeds Ceased by the fragrant sway of wild flower Or flood-waters that cloudless skies recede To free the land from Poseidon's power But there is a thief that seizes its spoils From all the happiness banked in my mind Entering through the hole of self-doubts toil Entering to steal all the things that shine. ~ An Arid Wasteland ~ An arid wasteland life made my heart Until your dear love came to blossom there. Love, sown when time couldn't prise our eyes apart Our winged souls leaving their windows to pair. For swift infatuation wields weird magic Establishing life where death will not die. A spell to oust torment so tragic Raising entwined souls to raptures so high. But can lust alone keep love in blossom? Can it keep the fires burning through winter When days are rayless, and long nights are glum? When entwined souls tragically splinter? This poem, I dedicate to my amazing and beautiful partner @charmainemarimo she's suffering with a heavy cold at the moment, so I thought I'd cheer her up for once, instead of stressing her out 😂😂😂😂 ~ What are you, if not a Wandering Star? ~ What are you, if not a wandering star? For your glimmer speaks as such And warmth does extend its reach from your heart To caress the souls of all that you touch. You are a candle of godly regard An eternal essence lighting the heavens Presenting much hope when living is hard For one look to you proves divine's presence ; But how can anything of skin and bone Emit such celestial wonderment? Is what the unknowing maunder and moan Even, screaming at the arched ferminent.
