The one thing that sucks about Norwegian Elkhounds, is they loath heat. I know husky owners will say the same, but I think elkhounds are even worse. You will want them to cuddle, and they will for a while, but then they will decide they have reached their daily allotment for warmth and leave you.

They have like cold seeking vision. I don’t know how Sparkles discovered the cubby under Tanner’s bed, but she did, and it also happens to be the coldest place in the house.

I was looking all over for her, and then I see her emerge from my daughter’s room.

I’m just glad she doesn’t sit in the snow and refuse to come in like our previous Elkhound used to.
