Yukino was expecting Alumina to become friends with the kids from other guilds but she was starting to get worn out by how often the seven-year-old wanted to go to Fairy Tail and play with the Redfox twins. Today they were playing in the pool, which meant Yukino could sit down and talk to Levy while Sting took care of the kids. The older of the five kids were splashing water into Gajeel’s face while Sting held Elena so that her feet were touching the water. Ella was next to her mother looking at a picture book instead of playing in the water, something about how she was too scared to go in when her siblings were swimming.
“Lumi, watch what I can do,” Ethan said, before sticking his head underwater without clogging his nose.
“How do you do that?” Alumina asked when the oldest of the Redfox twins came back up.
“They are so cute, I think he likes her,” Levy said, fixing Ella’s ponytail.
“Levy, you’re a super-smart person and your son is a good kid, but I refuse to let my daughter have a boyfriend,” Sting said, moving Elena onto his lap so that he could turn and look at the two females behind him. Levy tried to stifle a laugh, she found it quite humorous how Sting found an eight-year-old a threat.
“Sting, she’s six, you don’t have to worry,” Yukino said, handing an applesauce pouch to Elena.
“You can’t be too careful,” Sting responded, grabbing a snack of his own.
Alumina and the twins had started a competition to see who could hold their breath the longest while underwater and Ethan kept winning, causing the two girls to get bored.
“Ethan, we’re getting bored, can we get a snack?” Karrey asked, climbing out of the pool. Alumina followed the Redfox girl saying she was hungry.
“Fine, you guys are no fun,” Ethan said following the two girls over to where their mothers sat. The three sat down to eat their snacks while playing eye spy. It wasn’t until the sun started to set that the Eucliffe family went home, Alumina riding on her father’s shoulders as she talked about all the games she had played with the twins. Yukino smiled up at her daughter, deciding that she was willing to take her daughter to Fairy Tail whenever she could if it made her happy.
