I would love to know how they approached visual direction and costuming—other than pre-Raphaelite paintings and Tolkien’s own art, what were their inspirations and goals?
27. Which person involved in the show would you most like to meet in person? What would you say to them?
(Shocking no one) I’d love to talk to Ben Walker! He’s been in some of my favorite projects ever (All My Sons <33) in addition to TROP, and I’m always impressed by his interviews—his knowledge of and care for Tolkien is so evident in how he speaks. I’d love to have him to sign some of my plays & playbooks and just pick his brain about Gil-galad, Tolkien, and his philosophy on bringing literature to the screen. 💛
