The Young Women's Initiative (aka #SheWillBe was launched in #NYC last week. It's the first initiative in the nation aimed at supporting young women of color in #NYC and combating chronic racial and gender inequality in healthcare, education, criminal justice, and economic development. #YWI will analyze available data and examine NYC's current investments to determine programming needs, policy changes, data collection, and long-term research geared towards closing the gaps in outcomes experiences by young women and girls of color in NYC.
