I don't remember why I drew this. I remember Eryn made a post about something, and I thought it said "Roast Char" or "Roast Prince" or something but I genuinely don't remember. I just remember drawing it for her at C2E2.
it’s so iconic of queen to cover somebody to love from ella enchanted like, yes respect anne hathaway
Prince Char
The reason I'm in love with Hugh dancy and didn't even realise it xD
Also The Cheesiest film of my childhood.
But like how did he go from
This cute British smol sweet Prince to
This American angry edgy murder boi?
I mean, I love both of them so. much. But. Just. How??
i am in love w ella enchanted,,,, what a movie 🥺
would you guys read it if I wrote an Ella Enchanted AU?
I tend to think of the Ella Enchanted book and movie as completely separate things that happen to share a name. I know I saw the movie first, and I think I liked it initially. And then I think it was a while before I read the book and then another long time before I rematches the movie, because I was quite shocked by how different it was. I have one friend who gets really upset about the snake in the movie whenever the subject comes up.
Honestly, that's the best way to go about it. I probably would have enjoyed the movie a bit more if I hadn't read the book first, but I suspect that I would have found it a bit too corny for me even then, and not in a hugely enjoyable way (God, I sound like such a snob right now…). But since I read the book and loved it so damn much, the movie really suffered in my eyes. It was fun and cute, but it didn't even attempt to capture the world the book had created and I was just so mad that they ignored so many cool things they could have done instead.
Oh God, the snake! Man, I forgot all about him! Yeah, that was another problem for me - they added so many things to the movie, like the wicked Uncle and the snake and the whole thing with the elf who wanted to be a lawyer (WTF???), that it was just a big mess to me.
