When Alien meets Allien’s Ufo Inc. 

It’s rough, it’s acid, it’s cosmic, and not from this planet. It comes comes from Milton Bradley, this guy who kept us great company during a global self-isolation weekend, keeping us safe and sane, with Round #1 on Friday and Round #2 on Saturday. 

Deeply in love with Milton Bradley for two main reasons:

First, his two Smoke Machine Podcasts*, our on-the-road-to-party classics back in the beginning of last decade. I remember listening to Milton Bradley in the car back in the days, back in those legendary times, for all of us and for the island. It was before or around the time he started releasing as Alien Rain but he did seem promising even before that. 

Second, he taught me acid. 

Ufo Inc was recently lunched by Ellen Alien, described as a new energy, raw hypnotic techno with epic elements dedicated to a rough and raw approach to contemporary techno.

Most importantly, I am happy to see that this scene can be strong enough not only to survive this crisis but to get even stronger when all this mess is finally over.

Ellen Alien / Stormy Memories

Sie ist für mich so ein bisschen der hidden champion des Electro-Pop. Ellen Alien aus Berlin. Auch mit ihren neuen Album „Nost“, auf dem sie eigentlich nur konsequent ihren Weg fortführt und doch wieder in ganz eigenen Sphären operiert. Ein nicht unbedingt typisches Stück aus „Nost“ ist „Stormy memories“, da dieses zunächst nicht in gleicher Beatfrequnz getaktet ist, wie die restlichen Arbeiten des Albums. „Stormy memories“ ist aber für mich die aktuell dichteste und gelungenste Annäherung an das Schaffen von Kraftwerk. So oder so ähnlich würde Kraftwerk vermutlich in 2017 klingen, ja wenn Ralf Hütter neue Musik aus dem Kling Klang Universum freigeben würde.
